De ontwikkelingen met natuurlijke koudemiddelen gaan in een razend tempo door. Ook wij staan hierin niet stil. Sterker nog, we volgen al jarenlang de ontwikkelingen op dit gebied en zorgen voor passende oplossingen voor al onze klanten. Met name gedreven door het F-Gassen besluit, maar uiteraard ook vanuit mileuoogpunt. In Europa hebben we afgesproken nog sneller de GWP (Global Warming Potential) van koudemiddelen terug te brengen dan in de rest van de wereld. Zo werd onder andere vastgesteld dat we vanaf 2022 in centrale systemen met een koelcapaciteit vanaf 40 kW, alleen nog maar koudemiddel met een GWP van 150 of lager mogen gebruiken. Dit kunnen we alleen bereiken met natuurlijke koudemiddelen, HFO’s en een combinatie hiervan.

Een makkelijke en efficiënte oplossing is het gebruik van het natuurlijk koudemiddel Propaan. De drukken hiervan zijn relatief laag en de eigenschappen zijn nagenoeg hetzelfde als het voorheen veel gebruikte koudemiddel R22. Daarom verwachten wij dat dit een veel gebruikt alternatief zal worden voor specifieke toepassingen als Chillers en warmtepompen.

Daarom zijn we op zoek gegaan naar een innovatieve Propaan Chiller lijn, een oplossing die makkelijk te installeren is en weinig risico’s kent. Samen met Euroklimat kan ECR-Nederland nu Propaan Chillers leveren voor midden temperaturen met een koelcapaciteit van 7 tot 160 kW. Om het geheel in bedrijf te stellen moet het hydraulisch systeem (water glycol) door de installateur aangesloten worden. Het Propaan koudecircuit is volledig in de fabriek gemonteerd (niet afgevuld). Belangrijk is daarbij in verband met de veiligheidseisen dat deze buiten, vaak op het dak, worden opgesteld.

Propaan is veruit een van de gebruiksvriendelijkste koudemiddelen, maar wel brandbaar. Daarom zijn de ECR-Nederland Chillers uitgevoerd met de meest hoogwaardige beveiligingsoplossingen zoals bijvoorbeeld lek-detectie. Daarnaast zijn ook de compressoren uitgevoerd met een ATEX keurmerk zodat deze volledig explosie- veilig zijn. Ook zijn de units uitgebreid getest en is het ontwerp op lekdichtheid gecontroleerd.

Om de Propaan Chiller te installeren is het wel van belang dat het personeel gecertificeerd is voor omgang met koolwaterstoffen. Om de installateur bij te staan gaat ECR-Nederland verder dan alleen het leveren van de units. Wij denken van begin tot het einde van het traject met onze klanten mee. Van advies tot inbedrijfstelling kunnen wij klanten bijstaan en ondersteunen.

Naast Propaan Chillers zien we dat er ook steeds meer vraag komt naar warmtepompen. Daarom zijn binnenkort ook de Euroklimat Propaan warmtepompen verkrijgbaar bij ECR-Nederland. Lees in deze brochure alles over de ECR-Nederland Propaan Chillers en krijg een voorproefje van de Propaan warmtepompen.

Bij omgevingsdruk en temperatuur is het een kleur-loos, geurloos gas dat toch gemakkelijk vloeibaar is; het wordt gebruikt als brandstof voor auto’s, maar ook voor huishoudelijke en industriële doeleinden, campinglampen, kachels, etc.

Safety system To ensure high-safety-level the unit is equipped with an ATEX certified gas detector and an EC centrifugal extraction fan. The sensor, with external dedicated power supply and Modbus output signal, has an alarm threshold set at 10% of the lower flammable limit (LFL). The safety devices are managed by the microprocessor: when a leak is detected, this is signaled on the panel by means of the red LED status indicator and the sensor activates a series of emergency provisions which ensure the highest possible safety level. The Propane alarm causes the immediate shutdown of the machine and the centrifugal extraction fan is switched on, which allows the ventilation of the compressor compartment and the dilution of the R290 concentration to values below the lower flammability limit.

Structure Structure specifically designed and built to guarantee total resistance to atmospheric agents and corrosion. Basement and panels made of galvanized steel sheet, oven-painted with polyurethane powders. Frame made of anodized aluminium profiles, with aluminium alloy corner joints that guarantee excellent mechanical resistance and low weight. LN (Low Noise) version: the panels are internally lined with sound-absorbing material. SL (Super Low Noise) version: the panels are sandwich and insulated with rock wool.

Compressor Reciprocating semi-hermetic type compressor equipped with: electronic control module and protection of the electric motor (installed inside the electrical panel); oil charge; oil level sight glass and oil crankcase heater; anti-vibration rubber supports; anti-vibration pipes (suction and discharge); suction and discharge valves. The compressor can be supplied with one or more RSH capacity control heads to guarantee an adaptation of the cooling capacity in case of thermal load’s reduction: please see the list of accessories for further information.

EC Fan Premium-Axial-Fans with bionic shaped blades and high-efficient EC (Electronically Commutated) external rotor motors, sealed in protection IP54 and thermal class THCL 155. The motor efficiency class complies with IE4.

Air heat exchanger Finned coil made with copper pipes arranged on staggered rows, mechanically expanded inside a pack of aluminium fins offering a high exchange surface area.

Water heat exchanger Brazed plate-type heat exchanger, stainless steel AISI 316 made, complete with water differential pressure switch, air vent valve and thermally insulated with closed-cell neoprene anti-condensate material. The heat exchanger design provides high thermal exchange and high-performance results, furthermore it guarantees small dimensions and easy installation and maintenance.

Electrical board Each unit is equipped with electric panel, built, wired and fully tested at the factory. Wiring numeration and optimized layout facilitate troubleshooting. The installed components are identified by nameplates to better identify the application and the type of action. Switchboard is made according to standards IEC 204-1/EN60204-1 and it is complete with the following main components:- Main isolator switch - Door interlock safety device - Contactor and protection for compressor and fans - Cabinet minimum protection rating IP54. To ensure higher level of security, the cabinet is outside the machine and positioned on one side of the unit. The propane sensor is equipped with separate powersupply: this power supply must always be guaranteed in order to ensure the monitoring of any leakage.

Control The microprocessor controls the unit capacity by timing the compressors and checks the operating alarms with the possibility to connect to BMS.

Refrigerant circuit Filter drier, moisture-liquid sight glass, electronic expansion valve, high & low pressure gauge, high and low pressure transducers, high pressure switch, safety high pressure valve (when required by EN 378-2016 standard).

Water circuit Base version: as interface to the plant, includes the water fittings of the evaporator only.Integrated version: Water storage tank, water pressure gauge, safety valve, water discharge valve, centrifugal pump(s) suitable for glycol solutions up to 40%, manual by-pass valve, manual air venting valve. The pump control equipment is fitted inside the electrical board of the unit and the microprocessor control manages the pump starting, timing and all the safety devices of the whole system.

Safety system To ensure high-safety-level the unit is equipped with an ATEX certified gas detector and an EC centrifugal extraction fan. The sensor, with external dedicated power supply and Modbus output signal, has an alarm threshold set at 10% of the lower flammable limit (LFL). The safety devices are managed by the microprocessor: when a leak is detected, this is signaled on the panel by means of the red LED status indicator and the sensor activates a series of emergency provisions which ensure the highest possible safety level. The Propane alarm causes the immediate shutdown of the machine and the centrifugal extraction fan is switched on, which allows the ventilation of the compressor compartment and the dilution of the R290 concentration to values below the lower flammability limit.

Structure Structure specifically designed and built to guarantee total resistance to atmospheric agents and corrosion. Basement and panels made of galvanized steel sheet, oven-painted with polyurethane powders. Frame made of anodized aluminium profiles, with aluminium alloy corner joints that guarantee excellent mechanical resistance and low weight. LN (Low Noise) version: the panels are internally lined with sound-absorbing material. SL (Super Low Noise) version: the panels are sandwich and insulated with rock wool.

Compressor Reciprocating semi-hermetic type compressor equipped with: electronic control module and protection of the electric motor (installed inside the electrical panel); oil charge; oil level sight glass and oil crankcase heater; anti-vibration rubber supports; anti-vibration pipes (suction and discharge); suction and discharge valves. The compressor can be supplied with one or more RSH capacity control heads to guarantee an adaptation of the cooling capacity in case of thermal load’s reduction: please see the list of accessories for further information.

EC Fan Premium-Axial-Fans with bionic shaped blades and high-efficient EC (Electronically Commutated) external rotor motors, sealed in protection IP54 and thermal class THCL 155. The motor efficiency class complies with IE4.

Air heat exchanger Finned coil made with copper pipes arranged on staggered rows, mechanically expanded inside a pack of aluminium fins offering a high exchange surface area.

Water heat exchanger Brazed plate-type heat exchanger, stainless steel AISI 316 made, complete with water differential pressure switch, air vent valve and thermally insulated with closed-cell neoprene anti-condensate material. The heat exchanger design provides high thermal exchange and high-performance results, furthermore it guarantees small dimensions and easy installation and maintenance.

Electrical board Each unit is equipped with electric panel, built, wired and fully tested at the factory. Wiring numeration and optimized layout facilitate troubleshooting. The installed components are identified by nameplates to better identify the application and the type of action. Switchboard is made according to standards IEC 204-1/EN60204-1 and it is complete with the following main components:- Main isolator switch - Door interlock safety device - Contactor and protection for compressor and fans - Cabinet minimum protection rating IP54. To ensure higher level of security, the cabinet is outside the machine and positioned on one side of the unit. The propane sensor is equipped with separate power supply: this power supply must always be guaranteed in order to ensure the monitoring of any leakage.

Control The microprocessor controls the unit capacity by timing the compressors and checks the operating alarms with the possibility to connect to BMS.

Refrigerant circuit Filter drier, moisture-liquid sight glass, electronic expansion valve, high & low pressure gauge, high and low pressure transducers, high pressure switch, safety high pressure valve (when required by EN 378-2016 standard).

Water circuit Base version: as interface to the plant, includes the water fittings of the evaporator only.Integrated version: Water storage tank, water pressure gauge, safety valve, water discharge valve, centrifugal pump(s) suitable for glycol solutions up to 40%, manual by-pass valve, manual air venting valve. The pump control equipment is fitted inside the electrical board of the unit and the microprocessor control manages the pump starting, timing and all the safety devices of the whole system.

Safety system To ensure high-safety-level the unit is equipped with an ATEX certified gas detector and an EC centrifugal extraction fan. The sensor, with external dedicated power supply and Modbus output signal, has an alarm threshold set at 10% of the lower flammable limit (LFL). The safety devices are managed by the microprocessor: when a leak is detected, this is signaled on the panel by means of the red LED status indicator and the sensor activates a series of emergency provisions which ensure the highest possible safety level. The Propane alarm causes the immediate shutdown of the machine and the centrifugal extraction fan is switched on, which allows the ventilation of the compressor compartment and the dilution of the R290 concentration to values below the lower flammability limit.

Structure Structure specifically designed and built to guarantee total resistance to atmospheric agents and corrosion. Basement and panels made of galvanized steel sheet, oven-painted with polyurethane powders. Frame made of anodized aluminium profiles, with aluminium alloy corner joints that guarantee excellent mechanical resistance and low weight. LN (Low Noise) version: the panels are internally lined with sound-absorbing material. SL (Super Low Noise) version: the panels are sandwich and insulated with rock wool.

Compressor Reciprocating semi-hermetic type compressor equipped with: electronic control module and protection of the electric motor (installed inside the electrical panel); oil charge; oil level sight glass and oil crankcase heater; anti-vibration rubber supports; anti-vibration pipes (suction and discharge); suction and discharge valves. The compressor can be supplied with one or more RSH capacity control heads to guarantee an adaptation of the cooling capacity in case of thermal load’s reduction: please see the list of accessories for further information.

EC Fan Premium-Axial-Fans with bionic shaped blades and high-efficient EC (Electronically Commutated) external rotor motors, sealed in protection IP54 and thermal class THCL 155. The motor efficiency class complies with IE4.

Air heat exchanger Finned coil made with copper pipes arranged on staggered rows, mechanically expanded inside a pack of aluminium fins offering a high exchange surface area.

Water heat exchanger Plate-type. Made of AISI 316 steel complete with water differential pressure switch. Shell covered with closed-cell neoprene anti-condensate materiaShell & tubes. All extremely efficient with low refrigerant charge and very stable operating performance due to excellent refrigerant distribution, thermally insulated by vapour-proof closed celle.

Electrical board Each unit is equipped with electric panel, built, wired and fully tested at the factory. Wiring numeration and optimized layout facilitate troubleshooting. The installed components are identified by nameplates to better identify the application and the type of action. Switchboard is made according to standards IEC 204-1/EN60204-1 and it is complete with the following main components:- Main isolator switch - Door interlock safety device - Contactor and protection for compressor and fans - Cabinet minimum protection rating IP54 To ensure higher level of security, the cabinet is outside the machine and positioned on one side of the unit. The propane sensor is equipped with separate power supply: this power supply must always be guaranteed in order to ensure the monitoring of any leakage.

Control The microprocessor controls the unit capacity by timing the compressors and checks the operating alarms with the possibility to connect to BMS.

Refrigerant circuit Filter drier, moisture-liquid sight glass, electronic expansion valve, high & low pressure gauge, high and low pressure transducers, high pressure switch, safety high pressure valve (when required by EN 378-2016 standard).

Water circuit Base version: as interface to the plant, includes the water fittings of the evaporator only.Integrated version: Water storage tank, water pressure gauge, safety valve, water discharge valve, centrifugal pump(s) suitable for glycol solutions up to 40%, manual by-pass valve, manual air venting valve. The pump control equipment is fitted inside the electrical board of the unit and the microprocessor control manages the pump starting, timing and all the safety devices of the whole system.

Structure Structure specifically designed and built to guarantee total resistance to atmospheric agents and corrosion. Basement and panels made of galvanized steel sheet, oven-painted with polyurethane powders. Frame made of anodized aluminium profiles, with aluminium alloy corner joints that guarantee excellent mechanical resistance and low weight. LN (Low Noise) version: the panels are internally lined with sound-absorbing material. SL (Super Low Noise) version: the panels are sandwich and insulated with rock wool.

Compressor Reciprocating semi-hermetic type compressor equipped with: electronic control module and protection of the electric motor (installed inside the electrical panel); oil charge; oil level sight glass and oil crankcase heater; anti-vibration rubber supports; anti-vibration pipes (suction and discharge); suction and discharge valves. The compressor can be supplied with one or more RSH capacity control heads to guarantee an adaptation of the cooling capacity in case of thermal load’s reduction: please see the list of accessories for further information.

EC Fan Premium-Axial-Fans with bionic shaped blades and high-efficient EC (Electronically Commutated) external rotor motors, sealed in protection IP54 and thermal class THCL 155. The motor efficiency class complies with IE4.

Air heat exchanger Finned coil made with copper pipes arranged on staggered rows, mechanically expanded inside a pack of aluminium fins offering a high exchange surface area.

Water heat exchanger Brazed plate-type heat exchanger, stainless steel AISI 316 made, complete with water differential pressure switch, air vent valve and thermally insulated with closed-cell neoprene anti-condensate material. The heat exchanger design provides high thermal exchange and high-performance results, furthermore it guarantees small dimensions and easy installation and maintenance.

Electrical board Each unit is equipped with electric panel, built, wired and fully tested at the factory. Wiring numeration and optimized layout facilitate troubleshooting. The installed components are identified by nameplates to better identify the application and the type of action. Switchboard is made according to standards IEC 204-1/EN60204-1 and it is complete with the following main components:- Main isolator switch - Door interlock safety device - Contactor and protection for compressor and fans - Cabinet minimum protection rating IP54. To ensure higher level of security, the cabinet is outside the machine and positioned on one side of the unit. The propane sensor is equipped with separate power supply: this power supply must always be guaranteed in order to ensure the monitoring of any leakage.

Control The microprocessor controls the unit capacity by timing the compressors and checks the operating alarms with the possibility to connect to BMS.

Refrigerant circuit Filter drier, moisture-liquid sight glass, electronic expansion valve, high & low pressure gauge, high and low pressure transducers, high pressure switch, safety high pressure valve (when required by EN 378-2016 standard).

Water circuit Base version: as interface to the plant, includes the water fittings of the evaporator only.Integrated version: Water storage tank, water pressure gauge, safety valve, water discharge valve, centrifugal pump(s) suitable for glycol solutions up to 40%, manual by-pass valve, manual air venting valve. The pump control equipment is fitted inside the electrical board of the unit and the microprocessor control manages the pump starting, timing and all the safety devices of the whole system.

Reciprocating semi-hermetic type, fixed on anti-vibration system and complete with pressure lubrication system; oil crankcase heater; integral electronic protection and inlet plus outlet valves; flexible joints on suction and discharge. A VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) is provided in order to adapt the cooling capacity of the reciprocating compressor to the heating or cooling demand. EC Fan Premium-Axial-Fans with bionic shaped blades and high-efficient EC (Electronically Commutated) external rotor motors, sealed in protection IP54 and thermal class THCL 155. The motor efficiency class complies with IE4.

Air heat exchanger Finned coil made with copper pipes arranged on staggered rows, mechanically expanded inside a pack of aluminium hydrophilic fins offering a high exchange surface area.

Water heat exchangerDesuperheater (option)

Brazed plate-type heat exchanger, stainless steel AISI 316 made. The heat exchanger design provides high thermal exchange and high-performance results, furthermore it guarantees small dimensions and easy installation and maintenance. Heat exchangers are thermally insulated with closed-cell neoprene anti-condensate material. Air vent valve included.

Electrical board Each unit is equipped with electric panel, built, wired and fully tested at the factory. Wiring numeration and optimized layout facilitate troubleshooting. The installed components are identified by nameplates to better identify the application and the type of action. Switchboard is made according to standards IEC 204-1/EN60204-1 and it is complete with the following main components:- Main isolator switch - Door interlock safety device - Contactor and protection for compressor and fans - Cabinet minimum protection rating IP54To ensure higher level of security, the cabinet is outside the machine and positioned on one side of the unit. The propane sensor is equipped with separate power supply: this power supply must always be guaranteed in order to ensure the monitoring of any leakage.

Control The microprocessor controls the unit capacity by timing the compressors and checks the operating alarms with the possibility to connect to BMS.

Refrigerant circuit Filter drier, moisture-liquid sight glass, 4-way reversing valve, liquid receiver, liquid separator, shut-off valve on the liquid line, electronic expansion valve, safety high pressure high, high & low pressure gauges. Some components are ATEX certified.

Water circuit(Hydronic Kit – optional)

Water storage tank, material: carbon steel - Treatment: internal and external hot-dip galvanization. Insulation is made with high density rigid polyurethane foam - 30 mm. max. pressure: 6 bar. Water pressure gauge, safety valve, centrifugal pump(s) suitable for glycol solutions up to 20%, manual air venting valve. Variable speed and twin pumps are available as option.

Safety system To ensure high-safety-level the unit is equipped with a special gas detector for flammable gases, explosion-proof ATEX certified, with external dedicated power supply and Modbus output signal. The sensor is provided with an alarm level set at 10% of Lower Flammability Limit (LFL). This alarm activates a red LED status indicator on the control panel and is managed by microprocessor to activate a series of emergency provisions which ensure the highest possible safety level. Ex-rated centrifugal fan, which ensures emergency ventilation inside the compressor’s box in case of unlikely R290 leakage.

Structure Structure specifically designed for outdoor installation. Basement and frame in galvanized shaped sheet steel with a suitable thickness. All parts are polyester-powder painted to assure total weather resistance. For SL and XL versions, the panels are sandwich and insulated with rock wool.

Compressor with INVERTER

Reciprocating semi-hermetic type, fixed on anti-vibration system and complete with pressure lubrication system; oil crankcase heater; integral electronic protection and inlet plus outlet valves; flexible joints on suction and discharge. A VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) is provided in order to adapt the cooling capacity of the reciprocating compressor to the heating or cooling demand. The compressor is mechanically optimized for use with Hydrocarbons.Some components are ATEX certified.
