P R O F I L E Cassandra has 20 years of successful senior and executive leadership experience, with an extensive background in entertainment sales and marketing, highlighted by achievements in film, television and music. She has worked intimately with some of the most dynamic and accomplished directors, producers, recording artists, and executives in the entertainment industry. Cassandra currently works as an independent consultant for record labels, festivals, and cultural organizations. She maintains an extensive network of global contacts in the US, Caribbean, South America and Sub-Saharan Africa. She has a proven track record in digital content acquisition, distribution, product development, licensing, marketing/promotion, production, festival programming and event marketing.

In 2002 Cassandra joined New York based Putumayo World Music as the Director of Marketing. Convinced of the growing opportunities in Africa, she opened Putumayo’s Africa division in 2004, relocating to Cape Town, South Africa. She traveled the continent, establishing an extensive network of partnerships. In less than 5 years she successfully built a sales and marketing network across more than 20 countries in Africa.

Cassandra was appointed President of Tuff Gong International, in 1995, the record label founded by international reggae legend Bob Marley. She managed the successful launch of the label’s catalog, merchandise and event properties, and served as the Executive Producer of the sold out concert and DVD “Marley Magic- ­‐ Live in Central Park”.

VISA 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP “SAMBA OF THE WORLD”

CURATOR, MUSIC PRODUCERS “Samba Of The World.” The company enlisted the help of 32 global filmmakers, one from each of the qualifying countries in the World Cup. They created their own 90-second film, using the same format and music track produced by local music producers, to show how their countries were celebrating the World Cup. Fans have been able to view and share these films via an interactive video player on Visa’s site.

All came to share in the spirit and feel the magic of this inspiring tribute to Bob Marley by his family.
