Our new large bore couplers utilise many new and innovative design features to simplify the welding

procedure. These design features enable our large bore couplers to be welded using Plasson technology – one

weld time across its operating range of -10°-45°C, without the need for time consuming pre heating cycles.

Plasson PE Fittingen voor grote diameters Sinds de introductie van polyethyleen (PE) in de jaren ’50 van de vorige eeuw wordt PE veelvuldig

gebruikt voor leidingsystemen. De vele voordelen van PE vergeleken met ander materiaal, zoals

flexibiliteit, corrosie en de mogelijkheid tot volledig gelaste leidingsystemen, hebben ertoe geleid dat PE

in steeds grotere diameters wordt toegepast.

Om ervoor te zorgen dat de eindgebruikers en installateurs van deze systemen over de juiste

componenten en het juiste gereedschap beschikken, heeft Plasson een nieuwe reeks fittingen,

zadels en gereedschappen ontwikkeld. Deze nieuwe reeks bestaat uit slim ontworpen producten en

gereedschappen voor een vereenvoudigd installatieproces en houdt de reputatie van Plasson in stand

als fabrikant van producten die zelfs beter zijn dan de prestatievereisten van de strengste internationale

standaarden.

The use of PE has become well established in pipeline applications since its introduction in the 1950s.

PE’s many benefits over other materials including flexibility, corrosion resistance and the option of fully

welded joining systems have led to it being used in increasingly larger sizes.

To ensure that end users and installers of these systems have the right components and installation

tools, Plasson has developed a new range of couplers, saddles and installation tools. The new range

continues Plasson’s reputation for products that far exceed performance requirements of the toughest

international standards, with intelligently designed products and tools that simplify the installation

Plasson fittingen voor grote diametersOnze nieuwe Fittingen voor grote diameters bevatten vele nieuwe en innovatieve ontwerpfuncties waarmee de lasprocedure wordt vereenvoudigd. Dankzij deze ontwerpfuncties kunnen de fittingen worden gelast met Plasson-technologie. Vanwege het grote werkbereik (-10° tot +45°C) zijn er geen tijdverslindende voorverhittingscycli meer nodig.

Plasson-zadels voor grote diametersDe Plasson-zadels zijn speciaal ontworpen voor het verbinden van grote PE-buizen en zijn ook geschikt voor buizen die tijdens het transport of de opslag zijn vervormd of ovaal zijn geworden.De lasser kan het zadel dankzij het eenvoudige en robuuste ontwerp met banden en duidelijke lasindicatoren correct installeren.Deze zadels zijn bovendien de enige zadels die een eenvoudige methode bieden voor het testen van de druk. Zo kunnen dure en tijdverspillende fouten door verkeerd gelaste zadels worden voorkomen.

Plasson saddles are designed to deal with the challenges of connecting to large PE pipes, including ovality and pipe deformation from handling and storage.Using a simple and robust strap arrangement combined with clear and simple indicators, ensures that operators install the saddle correctly.In addition, the saddles are the only product available that include a simple method for pressure testing the assembly prior to tapping. This system avoids the risk of expensive and time consuming mistakes resulting from tapping incorrectly welded saddles.

Fast and simple installation Use of an innovative field friendly clamping system:• Designed to obtain full contact along the welding zone, even when pipe is oval or deformed• Lightweight.• No need for additional tools.

Weld integrity test • Special test port is incorporated into the saddle to enable pressure test before cutting into the pipe.

Correct tightening torque indicator• Indicated with visual gauge built into strap mechanism

Correct clamp use indicator stamp• Integrated into the tool - leaves a mark on the saddle to show if the correct sized clamps have been used and at the correct tension.

Full bore outlet design• Obtains maximal flow characteristics.• Outlet branch is full bore SDR11 – 90, 110, 125 and 160mm

Large fusion areas • The welding zone reaches up to the internal bore of the outlet. Ontwerp en specificatiesDe elektrolasfittingen van Plasson zijn ontworpen voor optimale prestaties met FEA-software (Final Elements Analysis).Het ontwerp van de fittingen voldoet aan de prestatievereisten van de verschillende standaarden voor PE 100-systemen en hebben een geschatte levensduur van meer dan 100 jaar.
