Director’s MessageABVGIET Shimla was established in the year 2012 and has been

in operation for more than four years. The first batch of students

graduated with a B.Tech. degree in July 2016 and presently fifth

batch is going to graduate in 2020.

ABVGIET Shimla has all required infrastructure, including

highly qualified faculty members and well-equipped laboratories,

for hands on experience. Students are exposed to the most

modern and up- to-date curriculum and contemporary

developments in various disciplines of engineering. In addition

to developing excellent scientific and engineering skills our

graduates have been molded into well-rounded personalities,

given their exposure to working as teams on projects, developing

presentation and communication skills, and actively participating

in extracurricular activities.

About us

ABVGIET Shimla was established in the year

2012 with an aim to produce world class

engineers who would establish themselves in

the higher echelons of any field they venture

into.

It began with offering B.Tech. degrees in two

mainstream engineering disciplines, namely,

Computer Science & Engineering and

Electronics & Communication Engineering at

Pragatinagar, Tehsil Kotkhai, District Shimla

(H.P). The institute excels in myriad fields of

study at undergraduate levels.

The 5th batch of the institute will graduate in

May 2020 and it is a matter of great pleasure

for the institute to take this opportunity to

invite potential companies to experience and

evaluate the dexterities, competency, skills and

talent of our students and absorb them into

their esteemed organizations

• It is the Second Government Engineering

College of HP. It is the only Government

college in HP which offers degree in

Computer Science & Engineering.

• Presently, the Institute is running four year

degree programmes in CSE & ECE. These

programmes are approved by AICTE New

Delhi and Institute is also affiliated to HPTU

Hamirpur.

• Students got admission in this College on the

basis of JEE Main & HPCET.

Twining AgreementsNPIU (National Project Implementation Unit has assigned two mentor institute for ABVGIET

under TEQIP- III .These are IIT-Hyderabad and Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College

Ludhiana.

IIT-HYDERABAD: IIT Hyderabad is one among the 2nd generation of IITs started by the Govt.

of India. The very foundation of IIT Hyderabad is based on research and innovation. The vibrant

research culture is evident from the number of patents and publications that IITH has. IITH

ranked 8th in NIRF-engineering and 10th in ARIIA.

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College: Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, one of the

prestigious, oldest and minority institution of Northern India, was established under the aegis of

Nanak Sahib Education Trust (NSET) in 1956. The College was affiliated with Punjab University,

Chandigarh since its inception. On establishment of Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, since

1997 the college is affiliated with it, which is now known as I.K.Gujral Punjab Technical

University (IKGPTU).

THE RIDGE, SHIMLA

The Ridge road is a large open space, located in the

center of Shimla, the capital city of Himachal

Pradesh, India. The Ridge is the hub of all cultural

activities of Shimla. It is situated along the Mall

Road, which is the famous shopping center of

Shimla.

BHIMA KALI TEMPLE

Shri Bhima Kali Temple is a temple at Sarahan in

Himachal Pradesh in India, dedicated to the mother

goddess Bhimakali, presiding deity of the rulers of

former Bushahr State.

CHANSHAL PASS

The Chanshal Pass, or Chanshal Valley, links Dodra

Kwar and Rohru in the Shimla district of the Indian

state of Himachal Pradesh. The pass sits atop

Chanshal Peak, which at 4,520 metres is the highest

peak in the Shimla district.

KUFRI

Kufri is a small hill station in Shimla district of

Himachal Pradesh state in India. It is located 20 km

from the state capital Shimla on the National

Highway No.22. The name Kufri is derived from the

word Kufri meaning "lake" in the local language.

NARKANDA

Narkanda is a town and a nagar panchayat in Shimla

district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is

at an altitude of 2708 meters on the Hindustan-Tibet

Road in Himachal Pradesh, India

HATU-PEAK

Hatu peak is the second highest peak in Shimla

district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located at

an elevation of 3400 m above sea level. The peak is

surrounded by dense forest of conifers, oaks and

maples

MAHASU PEAK

One of the highest points in Kufri, Mahasu Peak

offers breathtaking views of Badrinath and

Kedarnath ranges. Hiking is the best ways to explore

through a thick forest of deodar and spiff up to the

top. Here, you'll find Mahasu ridge, which is an ideal

spot for the one who practice before hitting the

cruder slopes

HATKOTI TEMPLE

Hatkoti Temple is situated 105 kilometers east of

Shimla. Hatkoti Temple is noted for its unique

architecture which dates back to the Gupta period.

JAKHU TEMPLE

Jakhoo Temple is an ancient temple in Shimla,

dedicated to the Hindu deity Hanuman. It is situated

on Jakhoo Hill, Shimla's highest peak,

2.5 km east of the Ridge at a height of 2,455 m above

sea level.
