Smell, hear, feel and experience the local stories. You take a walk through a reconstructed West Frisian village in the time of WWII. For those who want, there is an exploration according to the escape room concept with secret spaces, puzzles and assignments. The program is informative, interactive and suitable for everyone.

Maak per paardentram een prachtige rit door landelijk Medemblik. Trek stapvoets door de uitgestrekte weilanden, lintbebouwing en de historische dorpen Twisk en Opperdoes. Tijdens uw stop bij de ‘Bijenstal’ krijgt u een rondleiding door Bijenland waarbij de imker u alles vertelt over het drukke bestaan van de bij. Na een heerlijk glaasje honingwijn brengt u een bezoek aan een van de grootste modelspoorbanen van Nederland.

EN- Take a beautiful ride by horse tram through rural Medemblik. Walk step-by-step through the extensive meadows, ribbon deve-lopment and the historic villages of Twisk and Opperdoes. During your stop at the "Apiary" you will be given a tour of Bijenland where the beekeeper will tell you all about the busy existence of the bee. After a delicious glass of honey wine, visit one of the largest model railways in the Netherlands.

Een authentieke legertruck uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog haalt u op voor een rondrit en brengt u naar het Oorlogsmuseum. Hier gaat u zo’n 80 jaar terug in de tijd! Ruik, hoor, voel en ervaar de lokale oorlogsverhalen! In een nagebouwd Westfries dorpje uit de tijd van W.O.II. doe je een ontdekkingstocht volgens escape roomconcept met geheime ruimtes, puzzels en opdrachten. Het programma is interactief en geschikt voor alle leeftijden.

DE- Ein authentischer Armeelaster aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg holen Sie für eine Tour ab und bringen Sie zum Kriegsmuseum. Hier reisen Sie unge-fähr 80 Jahre in die Vergangenheit! Riechen, hören, fühlen und erleben Sie die lokalen Kriegsverstecke. In ein nach-gebautes westfriesisches Dorf zur Zeit des Zweiten Weltkriegs, gibt es eine Schnitzeljagd nach dem Escape Room-Konzept mit geheimen Räumen, Rätseln und Aufgaben. BEZIENSWAARDIG-HEDEN Medemblik telt meer dan 80 rijks-monumenten. Het stadhuis stamt uit 1939 (architect A.J. Kropholler). Ook staat er een werkende korenmolen (‘De Herder’, herbouwd in 1990) en is in het voormalige stoomgemaal ‘Vier Noorder Koggen’ het Nederlands Stoommachinemuseum geves-tigd. Aan de Westerhaven is het prachtige gebouw ’s Landswerf gelegen. Bijzondere wetenswaar-digheid is dat op 15 oktober 1811 keizer Napoleon de toenmalige marinewerf een bezoek bracht om vier ter bewapening gereed liggende schepen te inspecteren. Hij nuttigde het middagmaal in het Waterschapshuis aan de overzijde van de haven. Sinds 1887 heeft Medemblik een spoor-verbinding met Hoorn. Het stations-gebouw, dat direct aan de aanmeersteiger gelegen is, dateert uit die tijd. Tegen-woordig wordt deze lijn gebruikt door de Museumstoomtram Hoorn-Medemblik.

HIGH LIGHTS Medemblik has more than 80 national monuments. The town hall dates from 1939 (architect A.J. Kropholler). There is also a working flour mill ("De Herder", rebuilt in 1990) and the former steam pumping station "Vier Noorder Koggen" houses the Dutch Steam Engine Museum. The beautiful Landswerf building is located on the Westerhaven. It is worth noting that on October 15, 1811, Emperor Napoleon visited the then naval dockyard to inspect four ships ready for armament. He had lunch in the Waterschapshuis on the other side of the harbor. Medemblik has had a rail connection with Hoorn since 1887. The station building, which is located directly on the pier, dates from that time. Today this line is used by the Museum steam tram Hoorn-Medemblik.

SEHENSWÜRDIGKEITEN

Medemblik hat mehr als 80 nationale Denkmäler. Das Rathaus stammt aus dem Jahr 1939 (Architekt A.J. Kropholler). Es gibt auch eine funktionierende Mühle ("De Herder", 1990 umgebaut) und die ehemalige Dampfpumpstation "Vier Noorder Koggen" beherbergt das Niederländische Dampfmaschinenmuseum. Das schöne Landswerfgebäude befindet sich am Westerhaven. Interessant ist, dass Kaiser Napoleon am 15. Oktober 1811 den damaligen Marinehof besuchte, um vier rüstungsbereite Schiffe zu inspizieren. Er aß im Waterschapshuis auf der anderen Seite des Hafens zu Mittag. Medemblik hat seit 1887 eine Bahnverbindung mit Hoorn. Aus dieser Zeit stammt das Bahnhofsgebäude, das sich direkt am Pier befindet. Heute wird diese Linie von der Museumsdampfbahn Hoorn-Medemblik genutzt.
