    Welcome to Freshers Camp 2009

    The Wayfarer: A journey into Ourselves

    Assalamualaikum and hi to everyone.

    We hope that this info pack will indeed reach you guys in the best of

    health and iman, insyaAllah.

    Though this is quite late, we assure you guys that this is the real deal!

    Keep on reading as more details of the coming event are released for

    the first time appropriately to you, THE CHOSEN ONE, below are the

    particulars:1.0 Date:

    16-18th October 2009.

    Programme starts at 6.00 pm 16th October and will end on 18th October at 12.00 pm.

    2.0 Participation

    All freshers are invited to participate, both Muslims and non Muslims. Bothundergraduate students or postgraduate students. All around UK.

    3.0 Fee:

    1) members of LUMSOC, SMSA and NMS: GBP22

    Non members: GBP25

    2) Fee includes food, accommodation or tents rental, and other expenses.

    4.0 Registration:

    1) Please register online at www.fresherscamp.com.

    2) You will be asked to pay GBP15 as deposit to secure your place in Freshers

    Camp as well, to avoid any last minute cancellation of participation. Deposit

    payment can be made via internet transfer or by paying cash to our university

    representatives.

    3) Please pay the rest of your fee (members: GBP7, non-members: GBP10) by

    cash at the registration desk on 16th October 2009.

    4) Registration desk will be opened at 5.00pm 16th October 2009. Please consult us

    if you will be arriving earlier or later.

    Each of our camping areas is close to a water supply and our toilet and washingfacilities (including free hot showers) are not far from any of the campsites. Wherepossible we try to allocate particular sites if these have been requested in advance.

    Alter fires for cooking on, or sitting round at night, can be situated on most sites.

    Tents and camp equipment are available for hire on request.

    6.0 How to get there?

    1) By train: Please book the ticket in advance.

    the Scout Camp)

    b) Walk for 26 mins. Reach the destination.

    Please let us know if you have any problem to get into the place. We will help you as

    best as we can.

    Transportation of the LUMSOC, SMSA and NMS will be supported by the society.

    Please let your society aware about this.

    7.0 Accomodation:

    Brothers- will be living in tents provided. Two persons in one tent. There will be campfire

    to keep you warm.

    Sisters will stay in the hall provided. No specific room allocation. However, please

    bring along your sleeping bag.

    1) Tafsir Al-Quran and al-Mathurat for Muslims

    2) Notebook and pen

    3)Sleeping bag

    4) Sleeping mat (It is advisable to bring fleece or other thick

    material/jacket as well to keep you warm. Especially for

    those who will sleep in tent!)
