Resumé Han Admiraal

Han Admiraal (1959) werkt als zelfstandig adviseur vanuit Enprodes

Management Consultancy B.V. in Rotterdam. Na 10 jaar directeur van het

COB geweest te zijn en 8 jaar deeltijd HBO lector, heeft Admiraal in 2008

Enprodes opgericht. Hij kan vanuit deze onderneming adviseren inzake

Project Enabling en Ondergronds ruimtegebruik en werken aan zijn

internationale activiteiten.

Hij studeerde Weg- en Waterbouwkunde aan de HTS te Rotterdam. In 1996

behaalde hij zijn Master in Business Administration bij TSM Business School aan

de Universiteit Twente. Zijn eindonderzoek richtte zich op de communicatie

tussen overheid en burger bij de realisatie van infrastructurele werken.

Gedurende 19 jaar was hij in diverse functies werkzaam bij Rijkswaterstaat,

onder meer als projectmanager van de Tweede Heinenoord- tunnel, de eerste

geboorde tunnel in Nederland. Zijn werk bij Rijkswaterstaat varieerde van grote

infrastructurele projecten tot een programma gericht op het reduceren van post-

traumatische stress-stoornissen bij werknemers.

In 1999 werd hij directeur bij het Centrum Ondergronds Bouwen (COB) een

kenniscentrum op het gebied van ondergronds bouwen en -ruimtegebruik. Hij

hield zich bezig met onderzoek en kennisverspreiding over ondergronds bouwen

en -ruimtegebruik. In 2003 is hij vanuit COB gestart als deeltijd HBO lector

ondergronds ruimtegebruik aan de Hogeschool Zeeland. Het lectoraat en de

kenniskring gaan sinds begin 2007 verder onder de naam CARUS, Centre Applied

Research Underground Space, een samen werkingsverband van Avans

Hogeschool, Hogeschool Utrecht en Hogeschool Zeeland. Eind 2010 is hij na 8

jaar gestopt als lector aan het einde van zijn tweede termijn.

Han Admiraal was verder vice-voorzitter van de afdeling T unneltechniek en

Ondergrondse Werken van het Koninklijk Instituut Van Ingenieurs KIVI NIRIA, de

belangenbehartiger van ingenieurs in Nederland. Internationaal is hij ook actief,

met name binnen de ‘ International Tunnelling and Underground Space

Association, ITA. De ITA is gevestigd te Lausanne en telt meer dan 50 landen

die lid zijn van deze internationale vereniging. Binnen die vereniging was hij tot

2010 landenvertegenwoordiger namens Nederland en vice-animateur van de

Working Group Training. Sinds 2008 is hij voorzitter van het ITA Committee

Underground Space – ITACUS.

Admiraal werkt sinds 2008 zelfstandig vanuit zijn eigen bedrijf Enprodes

Management Consultancy B.V. Hij houdt zich bezig met vraagstukken rond

‘ project enabling’ ofwel hoe projecten meer draagvlak te verschaffen vanuit een

actieve dialoog met de omgeving. Zijn kracht ligt in het combineren van

technische-, (project)- management en organisatiesociologische expertise.

Han Admiraal heeft vele publicaties op zijn naam staan en geeft ook regelmatig

lezingen. Daarnaast wordt hij veel gevraagd om gastcolleges te verzorgen op

zowel Nederlandse als buitenlandse hogescholen en universiteiten.
