# PresentationInitiated in 1984, the cinema festival has become, year after year, a major noteworthy cultural event whose reputation has been spreading all over the Rhône-Alpes region. It is now one of the most important Rhône-Alpes cinema Festivals.Since 1988 the competition section only consists of first full length feature films. The Festival intends to promote the work of young film-makers from all over the world and to be a convivial meeting-place where every one can exchange ideas and impres-sions. At Annonay everything is done to make these exchanges as rewarding as possible. All through the Festival guests, organizers and the public are expect-ed to meet on equal terms and straight-forwardness is our common rule.

Annonay International Film Festival37th edition - 7th to 17th February, 2020

# Composition It is currently made up of five sections :

The first one concerns nine “First full-length feature films” which, in order to be selected for competition, must not have been distributed commercially or shown on television in France.

The second one concerns the first long feature films already distributed in France. These films are non competitive.

The third one is a panorama about young and talented actors.

The fourth one is a selection of films for a young audience.

The fifth one concerns young directors who have presented their first features in Annonay.

A well-known film maker is president of the Jury. As to the members of the Jury, the majority of them are non professional film-lovers selected on candidacy.

# PrizesFour prizes will be awarded : * The Jury Prize : Prize in cash (3500 €) granted to the French distributor who will distribute the film in France before December 31st, 2020 and Prize in cash (2000 €) granted to the director.– The Special Jury Prize : Prize in cash (1200 €) granted to the director. – The Public’s Choice : Prize in cash (1700 €) granted to the director. – The Young Jury Prize : Prize in cash (1000 €) granted to the director.

# PrésentationCréé en 1984, le Festival de Cinéma est devenu, au fil des ans, une manifestation qui compte, au point de figu-rer parmi les plus importantes manifestations cinémato-graphiques de la région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

Depuis 1988, le Festival, en se centrant sur les premiers films, entend promouvoir les jeunes réalisateurs du monde entier et être un lieu de rencontre, d’échanges et de convivialité. À Annonay, tout est mis en oeuvre pour que les échanges soient le plus fructueux possible. La convialité dans la simplicité entre invités, public et organisateurs y est une règle de tous les instants.

Depuis 2003, le Festival s’est élargi à des communes voisines de la Loire et de la Drôme.

# ProgrammeLe Festival se compose chaque année de cinq sections :- Une section compétitive de neuf premiers longs métrages de fiction avec des films inédits ou non encore distribués en France en salles ou à la télé-vision. Cette sélection est internationale.- Une section premiers films hors compétition.- Une section « nouveaux visages, nouveaux ta-lents » consacrée à de jeunes comédiens promet-teurs.- Une sélection de films tout public.- Une section « Ils sont passés par ici… » consa-crée à de jeunes cinéastes « révélés » à Annonay.

Pour la compétition, le Jury, présidé par un réalisa-teur, est essentiellement composé de spectateurs cinéphiles sélectionnés sur candidature.

# Prix* Le Grand Prix du Jury (Prix de la Commu-nauté d’Agglomération), doté d’un prix en espè-ces remis au distributeur français qui diffusera le film en France dans l’année (3 500 €) et d’un prix de 2000 € remis au réalisateur.* Le Prix Spécial du Jury (Prix du Conseil Régional Auvergne Rhône-Alpes), doté d’un prix en espèces remis au réalisateur (1 200 €).* Le Prix du Public (Prix du Conseil Départe-mental de l’Ardèche), doté d’un prix en espèces remis au réalisateur (1 700 €)* Le Prix des Lycéens (Prix Caisse d’Épargne Loire-Drôme-Ardèche), doté d’un prix en espè-ces remis au réalisateur (1 000 €), ce prix étant décerné par des lycéens de l’agglomération anno-néenne.
