1. On 28 August DCSLOG gave a 15 minute information briefing to SAon Project CASPER. Persons in attendance were:Mr. VanceLt Gen Colglazier, DCSLOGLt Col Gilman, DCSLOG BrieferCol Baldwin, OSALt Col Allen, ASGS

The brief ing traced the history of Project CASPER the r equirementsplaced on D in connection with Project CASPER accomplishments to date,and summarized recent actions pertaining to the project .3. Mr. Vance expressed part icular interest in a prior action of28 ~ b y which, upon Mr . Stahr 's recommendation, Sec Def forwarded aproposed le t te r f rom the President to the Vice President. In th is le t te rthe Vice President was r equested to provide recommendations and subsequentf ollow through in issuing di r ectives in order that additional progress is

made in furthering Project CASPER . Mr. Vance asked that he be advised inabout three weeks as to what info has been received as to specific actionsby the Vice President in th is regard. (Subsequently, Col Baldwin advisedOCS that th is info should be given OSA informally o/a 25 September 1962.)
