Design FeaturesDorot’s Series DBV: WF (Wafer) valve or a versionwith threaded bores- the LU valve.Flange-locating Lug version can be used for dead-end service. All Dorot valves are tested to 110% offull pressure rating before shipment.

A major design advantage of Dorot valve product

lines is international compatibility. The same valveis compatible with most world ange standards- ANSI Class 125/150, BS 10 Tables D & E, BS4504

NP 10/16, DIN ND10/16, AS 2129 and JIS 10. Inaddition, the valves are designed to comply with ISO5752 face-to-face and ISO 5211 actuator mountinganges.Therefore, one valve design can be used in manydifferent world markets. Due to a modular concept ofdesign, Dorot manual levers or gear operators canbe mounted directly on Dorot valves, No brackets oradapters are required.Dorot interchangeability and compatibility offersyou the best uniformity of product line and low- costperformance.

Installation1. Locate the disc in a partially- open position.2. Place the valve body between the pipe anges and

install ange bolts. Do not use ange gaskets.3. Carefully open the disc to the fully-open position, ensure

proper alignment with the adjacent pipes.4. Leave disc in the fully-open position and tighten ange

bolts per required specications. Once bolts aretightened, then carefully move the disc to “closed” position.

5. Horizontal position of the stem is preferred.

Maintenance and RepairThe high performance features minimize wear andmaintenance requirements. No routine lubrication is required.

All components - stem, disc, seat, bushing stem seal etc. are

eld- replaceable, no adjustment is needed. If componentsrequire replacement, remove the valve from the line:locate the disc in “closed” position, spread the anges,support the valve, and then remove the ange bolts. Novalve maintenance, including removal of manual or poweractuators, should be performed until the piping system iscompletely depressurized.

Selection DataSpecications of DOROT Series DBV- WF/ LU:

• Epoxy coated Ductile iron, wafer or lug bodies.

• Series LU: Lug- type with ange- locating bores to ANSI 125/150, BS 10 Tables D & E, BS4504 PN 10/16, DIN ND10/16, AS 2129

or JIS 10 standards.

• Mechanically-retained Stem in body neck. No part of stem or body is exposed to pipeline media.

• For weld- neck and slip- on anges, the seat is totally encapsulates the body. No ange gaskets

are required.

• Spherically- machined, hand polished disc providing excellent sealing.

• Non-corrosive bearings.

• Bi-directional ow, tested to 110% of pressure rating.

• Pressure rating: - 2”- 12” valves are rated 230psi / PN16 - 14”- 20” valves are rated 150psi / PN10

Lug bodies used at dead- end service,with downstream anges, pressure ratings areas stated above.

• Zero- Outlet pressure, without downstream ange: - 2”- 12” valves are rated 75psi / PN6 - 14”- 20” valves are rated 50psi / PN4

• No eld adjustment is necessary to maintain optimum eld performance.
