God is busy at work on the edge of the Amazon jungle! I am so thankful for everything He is doing and for the opportunity to be a part of it. Thank YOU  for being a part of it by support- ing me and praying for me. This year has started full speed ahead! We have almost 400 students enrolled this year including 17 students who make up the first class that will ever graduate from Esperanza Eterna School! Nine students from my previous school are attending this year and my longtime friend, Nanki, too! We have 3 new projects incorporated into our curriculum that I am in charge of monitoring: Scientific Investigation Project, Reading/Writing Project and Practical Life Project (applying Christian values to daily life). Our goal is to see students reach higher levels of thinking across all subjects, and through these projects, to glorify God in their application of knowledge. In order to reach this goal, I will train teachers throughout the year to “think critically,” remodel the library with the help of the Central Committee of Parents and help plan 2 mission trips into other communities with students. My prayer is for the Spirit to move and fill this school with His Presence   in all classrooms, subjects and events. This summer, I had the privilege of helping plan a discovery Bible study for the staff at Esperanza Eterna School. Every morning, we worshiped together, then broke into small groups of 4-5 to study what God’s Word says about who we are in Him. It was amazing! Many of the teachers opened up and asked questions about what it really means to be a follower of Christ. It was a wonderful time of meaningful conversation and prayer. We had such a positive response from this Bible study that we, the campus Spiritual Committee, decided to completely re-design the way we reach out to the teachers and staff. In order to maintain the confidentiality of our small groups, we will continue to encourage our Bible study group throughout the year with verses and  prayer. We have also come up with the following projects to help us encourage teachers in their faith and nurture spiritual growth. October 2015 Grace and smooth  process for adopting Dennis! Dennis is attending Esperanza Eterna School this year and I have never seen a happier

kid. He is bursting with joy for life! He loves to walk into school and say, “good morn-

ing!” to everyone in his path and give them a strong hug to start the day. On Friday,October 2nd, Dennis asked me about Jesus dying on the cross for us. He told me that

Jesus didn’t stay dead. “He lives!” he ex-

claimed. He wanted to know more about

this story that was so intriguing. I had the

privilege of explaining to him what a won-

derful Saviour we have. We prayed to-

gether and he asked the Holy Spirit to

come live in his heart. A week later, I

talked to my grandpa, “Papa,” for the last

time on the phone and I shared this story

with him. Praise Jesus that Dennis is in the

Kingdom! Please continue to pray that the

adoption process will move quickly and

that God’s hand will be upon it.

Thank you,

lison

Dennis...

Making our debut in November 2015, the Spiritual

Committee at Esperanza Eterna School will be

opening a prayer and coffee room for teachers to

take a minute to pray with someone, meditate on a

verse and have a cup of coffee. Please pray that God

uses this part of my ministry to bring others into the

Kingdom of God!
