Material Planning/Inventory Management: Preparing material requirement plan as per production floor needs. Tracking and maintaining inventory levels in the stores for all items required in the plant &Sites. Sourcing the material and Generating purchase orders as and when inventory levels reach reorder levels. Efficiently managing the inventory levels, for ensuring ready availability of material to meet production and site for dispatch targets. Besides of all I am looking after Production and Site Supervision also as required.

Sourcing / Procurement : Handling sourcing through identification of cost effective suppliers for procurement with an aim of improving quality & reliability. Budgeting funds for procurement and sourcing of materials ensuring optimum utilization of materials & maximum cost savings as per site requirement. Developing sufficient number of reliable and reputed sources of supply for different items required. Negotiating with the suppliers after analyzing the quotations duly giving a fair and equal opportunity to all the participants. Releasing Purchase Orders and follow up till the material is actually delivered as per the schedule.

Vendor Development: Checking the performance of the vendors based on various criterions such as percentage for rejections, quality improvement rate, timely delivery, credit terms, etc. Monitoring incoming materials supplied by vendors and ensuring they are as per quality & quantity specifications. Overseeing follow-up with vendors for engineering deliverables, timely deliveries

Site Management: Implementing Standard Operating Procedures within the warehouse and training team members in maintaining compliance with these procedures. Ensuring quality and fast work as per standard. Providing & ensuring for timely Mobilisation.

Logistics & Production: Supervising logistic operations viz., inland transportation to factory warehousing and transportation for distribution of the products. Coordinating with various departments for implementing/ monitoring effective Logistic System. Negotiating with transporters, shippers, etc to ensure seamless and cost-effective movement of consignment. Dealing with Couriers/ Transporters. Monitoring the performance by analyzing delivery time.
