Por la presente quiero manifestarle, en calidad de Coordinador de Investigaciónde la Mención Administración, mi interés por cursar mi segundo año del Doctorado enGestión de Negocios dictado por Saint Marys University en Canadá, con fecha deinicio 2 de Mayo del corriente.

Asimismo, quería manifestarle mi interés por solicitar a las autoridades de estaUniversidad una licencia por estudios por el periodo de siete meses con el objetivo decursar las tres materias restantes de un total de seis (las primeras tres materias fueroncursadas y aprobadas durante el 2011) y rendir los seis Comprehensive Exams (verprograma adjunto) que son requisito obligatorio para aprobar el doctorado.

Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (Management)

The primary objective of the Sobey Ph.D. Program is to develop successful researchers foracademe, the public sector and private industry. The program focuses on the behaviouraland structural aspects of organizations and management, and encompasses areas of studythat include Management, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Theory, HumanResources Management, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and Industrial/LabourRelations.

The PhD program is a full-tirne commitment. Ph.D. students have full-time status. Nonetheless, thecourse work is structured such that students can complete their classroom requirements duringthe May-June time frame, with final assignments being due in the fal!. Directed studies that can betaken either on campus or at a distance during the fall and winter periods. (See the sample coursetimetables for year 1 and year 2)

The program is designed to be completed in 48 months. Coursework can be completedwithin 15 months of enrollment, and comprehensive exams must be completed no later than28 months into the programo The remaining time in the program will vary depending on thenature of the dissertati on research,

The program comprises three inter-related elements; coursework, comprehensiveexaminations and dissertation.
