rlying saucers first convention was held three days, Sunday through Tuesday, Aug. 16, 17, 18, from 10:00 A. K. to 11:00 p. K •

The attendance exceeded expectations of everyone •

It became necessary to conduct a session each afternoon at 1:00 o'clock in addition to the regular evening session. The sessions were presentations of various speakers widely known in the subj ect of flying saucers, and a question and answer audience participation period. All the speakers met the questions hurled at them with a most admirable degre e of confidence. They included Frank Scully, author of 1Behind the Flying saucers•, and its central figure, Silas Newton, one of the first speakers was Geo. Van Tassel, followed by Geo. Adamski. Orfeo Angelucci, .t;rthur Luis Joquel, 11, Jeron Xing Criswel. Dr. Hardin Walsh, dean of Scientology presented hie version with a blackboard illustration •

Arthur Luis Joquel 11, author of "The Challenge of Space•, gave a most factual presentat ion, flatly stating that the air force has more definite data in ita files than can be casually released and brought forth much significant information in this •

All the speakers stayed beyond their promised one or two periods because they were surprised at the number and caliber of the audience. The audience included many who voiced theirpwn signtinga, and these adhered close to the general pattern of sightings. All sides and views were presented with no unnecessary friction or conflict. The essence of the entire affair seemed to point in that direction, namely that the flying saucers indicate space visitors. EVen the esoteric side was presented, and Miss Genevieve A. Jobnston, editor and publish­er of •Interplanetary Rewa• presented a delightful short talk on her stand •

On Monday evening the people came in large crowds, overflowed along the sidewalk and along Hollywood blvd, inspite of the meager publicity given in advance. The final question raised by so many was, When will there be another, and where?

Personally, I do not have to be convinced that there are human­beings on other planets iD our own Solar System as well as beyond. I have always known it �o be ao.

This letter is for you to read if your are of the •crackpots• who claims be's seen a flyi ng saucer, or at least who says he i s interested in same!

Strangely enough, the number of •crackpots• is steadi ly and rapidly growin�, numbering well-known men and woman in the ranks of the •believerer.

The purpose of thi s letter ie not to diseuse the fascinati ng "disoa1, but to have a heart-to-heart talk with you fellow •screwballs•.

Max Killer and others were ki nd enough to invi te me to attend the recent Conventi�n; but I was una�le to attend. However, I really wanted to be there, because Max and many others have gone a long way to get all of us together. I have heard tape recordings of the speeches and have talked peraonally with several who were present at the con­vention. So, I feel as though I waa just a 1little mouse• looking on, after all. I know some of you have heard of our group here in Northern Ar izona. We're the ones who are crazy enough to claim we have talked to Spacemen by radiote legraphy!

As all of you know, this saucer business is really Big Buainesal If it were just the fact that Mart ians or Jovians were about one hundred years ahead of us in apace travel and were coming down to Earth for a look-see, that fact i tself would be quite startling and unbeli eYable to the general publi c. And here's another fact that i s overlooked and most im­portant. So many people believe that the Saucers are all of the same ori gin. They say Mars, or Ether, etc. and that's that. This is not the case. We are dealing first of all with being$ in our own physical plane dwelling on planets in our own Solar System. In thi s System theJe are di fferent degrees of pro gression and attainment and we on Earth find

ourselves on the bottom of the li st. However, we are also dealing with human-beings of other systems (many other systems) and s�me of these are even millions of years ahead of us. Here in Ari zona we have been i n contact wi th physi cal (as we know i t) bei ngs of our planetary neighbors i n this system. This ia what Adamski is talk ing about. Others have been in contact through telepathy (ESP) with more highly advanced beings of far-away systema. Some of them are so advanced they don't even need apace craft to travel throughout the Universe! After all, is everyth ing outside of Earth, identical, and a� we the only Yari at ion in Creation? Of course not. We are being Yisited by many different types of fellow human-beings in different stages of advance­ment.

Previous heavy years, 1950 and 1952, coincided with Martian approaches. we anticipate even greater sighting& in 1954 and 1956 when Mare co.ea even closer to earth. SAUCER SI GHTINGS IN THE DESERT

Numerous sightings of Tarious saucer craft was reported over the high desert during month ot September. Here are a few.

During the Labor day holiday, one evening at seven-thirty, I waa walt6ag out to the patio at the Grand View Motel in Joshua Tree. Suddenly, I sensed the Presence of Cosmic Visitors. And following

. / •Y perception, I saw a hugh Kother-ahip anchored about twenty feet v off the desert floor close to the mountain about a mile away. The ebip waa a double-decker and the main body of it was of a misty pearl white substance. The Visitors were from Venus and they remained until late next morning. I mentioned this one in particular because it was a •other-ship.

One evening, in Yucaa Valley, Bill Williams, a Realtor, saw three aaucer shaped objects flying near Joshua Tree.

Also according to the Desert Journal, Joshua Tree Bewspaper, of Sept. iBth, 40 persona saw strange saucer shaped outlines in various colors over the Victorville Road.

The lights appeared early in the evening and began to move closer to the vicinity of Giant Root Airport.

The various lights would pop on and off, glow and diminish, move rapidly back and forth and at various angles. At time they were re­ported to be eo brilliant as to almost blind the observers.

Among the group of observers from out of town were, a prominent Loa Angeles doctor, Mr. Berger of Corcoran, Marie Hollenbeck of Holly­wood, Actress Lulu Betz also of Hollywood, who recently completed a part in "The Robe1 and Jack Francis, a Los Angeles contractor•

1%. and Mrs. W. R. Nelson of Windy Gap, also reported seeing a brilliant saucer shape over Joshua Tree.

Sept. 27, Sunday eTening at 7:28 P. M. , I suddenly became aware of Space Visitora.

I was alone at a friend's house about four miles beyond Pioneertown. I atepped out on the patio, and I looked right into a magnificent hugh Space Ship, pulsating with my heart-beat.

I t waa all aa great.aa a full moon and of a pure whiter-then-snow­light. It, at once, began to slowly descend somewhere near Joahua !ree. It settled for about a minute near desert floor and then it moved bact into the slightly foggy night sky and hovered over vicinity of Giant Root !ben it glided to within about five miles of where I was witnessing it.

Close-up, it became tranaparent and spread out over a wide area of the desert. A glorious Being, a Lady of Light, stepped out into space, coaing nearer and greeting me.

She and her friends were from Venus on their mission ot bringing Peace, Love and Understanding into our world.
