Surah an-Noor (The Light)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful


#ا �ن ل #نز# و#أ #اه#ا ض�ن و#ف#ر# #اه#ا �ن ل #نز# أ ة, ور# س0ون# �ر0 #ذ#ك ت �0م �ك �ع#ل ل #ات8 :ن #ي ب #ات8 آي ف�يه#ا

[24:1] (This is) a chapter which We have revealed and made obligatory and in which We have

revealed clear communications that you may be mindful.


�ه0م#ا م:ن و#اح�د8 0ل� ك �د0وا ل �ف#اج �ي ان و#الز� #ة0 �ي ان الز�ف�ي �ف#ة, أ ر# �ه�م#ا ب 0م �خ0ذ�ك #أ ت و#ال# �د#ة8 ل ج# #ة# م�ئ

� #و�م �ي و#ال �ه� �الل ب 0ون# 0ؤ�م�ن ت �0م 0نت ك �ن إ �ه� الل د�ين�م:ن# �ف#ة, ط#ائ #ه0م#ا ع#ذ#اب �ه#د �#ش �ي و#ل خ�ر� �اآل

�ين# �م0ؤ�م�ن ال

[24:2] (As for) the fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each of them, (giving) a hundred stripes, and let not pity for

them detain you in the matter of obedience to Allah, if you believe in Allah and the last day, and let a party of

believers witness their chastisement.

�و# أ ان8 ز# �ال� إ #نك�ح0ه#ا ي ال# #ة0 �ي ان و#الز�

�ين# �م0ؤ�م�ن ال ع#ل#ى �ك# ذ#ل م# و#ح0ر: ر�ك, � م0ش

[24:3] The fornicator shall not marry any but a fornicatress or idolatress, and (as for) the

fornicatress, none shall marry her but a fornicator or an idolater; and it is forbidden to the believers.


�#م ل 0م� ث #ات� �م0ح�ص#ن ال م0ون# �#ر ي �ذ�ين# و#ال ��د0وه0م ل �ف#اج ه#د#اء ش0 #ع#ة� ب �ر

# �أ ب 0وا �ت #أ ي Sه#اد#ة ش# �#ه0م ل 0وا #ل #ق�ب ت و#ال# Sد#ة� ل ج# �ين# #م#ان ث

ق0ون# �ف#اس� ال ه0م0 �ك# #ئ و�ل0 و#أ #دSا #ب أ

[24:4] And those who accuse free women then do not bring four witnesses, flog them, (giving) eighty stripes, and do not admit any evidence from them

ever; and these it is that are the transgressors,


#ح0وا ص�ل# و#أ �ك# ذ#ل #ع�د� ب م�ن 0وا #اب ت �ذ�ين# ال �ال� إ

ح�يم, ر� غ#ف0ور, �ه# الل �ن� ف#إ

[24:5] Except those who repent after this and act aright, for surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.


��ه0م ل 0ن #ك ي �#م و#ل �و#اج#ه0م �#ز أ م0ون# �#ر ي �ذ�ين# و#ال �#ح#د�ه�م أ ه#اد#ة0 ف#ش# �ه0م #نف0س0 أ �ال� إ ه#د#اء ش0

#م�ن# ل �ه0 �ن إ �ه� �الل ب ه#اد#ات8 ش# #ع0 ب �ر# أ

الص�اد�ق�ين#

[24:6] And (as for) those who accuse their wives and have no witnesses except themselves, the evidence

of one of these (should be taken) four times, bearing Allah to witness that he is most surely of

the truthful ones.


�ن إ �ه� #ي ع#ل �ه� الل #ت# #ع�ن ل #ن� أ ة0 �خ#ام�س# و#ال 0 أ #د�ر# و#ي �ين# #اذ�ب �ك ال م�ن# #ان# ك

[24:7] And the fifth (time) that the curse of Allah be on him if he is one of the liars.


ه#اد#ات8 ش# #ع# ب �ر# أ ه#د# �#ش ت �#ن أ �ع#ذ#اب# ال �ه#ا ع#ن

�ين# #اذ�ب �ك ال #م�ن# ل �ه0 �ن إ �ه� �الل ب

[24:8] And it shall avert the chastisement from her if she testify four times, bearing Allah to witness

that he is most surely one of the liars;


�ن إ �ه#ا #ي ع#ل �ه� الل غ#ض#ب# #ن� أ ة# �خ#ام�س# و#الالص�اد�ق�ين# م�ن# #ان# ك

[24:9] And the fifth (time) that the wrath of Allah be on her if he is one of the truthful.


#ن� و#أ 0ه0 ح�م#ت و#ر# �0م �ك #ي ع#ل �ه� الل ف#ض�ل0 #و�ال# و#لح#ك�يم, #و�اب, ت �ه# الل

[24:10] And were it not for Allah's grace upon you and His mercy-- and that Allah is Oft-returning

(to mercy), Wise!


ال# �0م م:نك #ة, ع0ص�ب �ف�ك� ��اإل ب ج#اؤ0وا �ذ�ين# ال �ن� إ0ل: �ك ل �0م �ك ل �ر, ي خ# ه0و# �#ل ب 0م �ك ل ا mر ش# 0وه0 ب #ح�س# ت�ذ�ي و#ال � �م �ث �اإل م�ن# #س#ب# �ت اك م�ا �ه0م م:ن ام�ر�ئ8

ع#ظ�يم, ع#ذ#اب, #ه0 ل ��ه0م م�ن ه0 �ر# �ب ك #و#ل�ى ت

[24:11] Surely they who concocted the lie are a party from among you. Do not regard it an evil to you; nay, it is good for you. Every man of them shall have what he has earned of sin; and (as for) him who took upon himself the main

part thereof, he shall have a grievous chastisement.


0ون# �م0ؤ�م�ن ال ظ#ن� 0م0وه0 م�ع�ت س# ��ذ إ #و�ال# له#ذ#ا 0وا و#ق#ال ا Sر� ي خ# �ه�م #نف0س� �أ ب #ات0 �م0ؤ�م�ن و#ال

�ين, مsب �ف�ك, إ

[24:12] Why did not the believing men and the believing women, when you heard it, think well of

their own people, and say: This is an evident falsehood?


�#م ل ��ذ ف#إ ه#د#اء ش0 #ع#ة� ب �ر# �أ ب �ه� #ي ع#ل ج#اؤ0وا #و�ال# ل

ه0م0 �ه� الل ع�ند# �ك# #ئ و�ل0 ف#أ ه#د#اء sالش� ب 0وا �ت #أ ي

0ون# #اذ�ب �ك ال

[24:13] Why did they not bring four witnesses of it? But as they have not brought witnesses they

are liars before Allah.


ف�ي 0ه0 ح�م#ت و#ر# �0م �ك #ي ع#ل �ه� الل ف#ض�ل0 #و�ال# و#لم#ا ف�ي �0م ك #م#س� ل ة� خ�ر# �و#اآل #ا �ي الدsن

ع#ظ�يم, ع#ذ#اب, ف�يه� �0م #ف#ض�ت أ

[24:14] And were it not for Allah's grace upon you and His mercy in this world and the hereafter, a

grievous chastisement would certainly have touched you on account of the discourse which

you entered into.


0ون# #ق0ول و#ت �0م �ك #ت ن �س� #ل �أ ب #ه0 #ق�و�ن #ل ت ��ذ إ�م, ل ع� �ه� ب 0م #ك ل �س# #ي ل م�ا 0م #ف�و#اه�ك �أ ب

ع#ظ�يم, �ه� الل ع�ند# و#ه0و# Sا :ن ه#ي #ه0 0ون ب #ح�س# و#ت

[24:15] When you received it with your tongues and spoke with your mouths what you had no

knowledge of, and you deemed it an easy matter while with Allah it was grievous.


#ا #ن ل 0ون0 #ك ي م�ا 0م �ت ق0ل 0م0وه0 م�ع�ت س# ��ذ إ #و�ال# و#ل#ان, 0ه�ت ب ه#ذ#ا #ك# �ح#ان ب س0 �ه#ذ#ا ب �م# #ل #ك �ت ن #ن أ

ع#ظ�يم,

[24:16] And why did you not, when you heard it, say: It does not beseem us that we should talk of

it; glory be to Thee! this is a great calumny?


�ن إ #دSا #ب أ �ه� �ل �م�ث ل #ع0ود0وا ت #ن أ �ه0 الل 0م0 #ع�ظ0ك ي�ين# مsؤ�م�ن 0م 0نت ك

[24:17] Allah admonishes you that you should not return to the like of it ever again if you are

believers.


�يم, ع#ل �ه0 و#الل #ات� ي �اآل 0م0 #ك ل �ه0 الل :ن0 #ي 0ب و#ي ح#ك�يم,

[24:18] And Allah makes clear to you the communications; and Allah is Knowing, Wise.


ة0 �ف#اح�ش# ال يع# #ش� ت #ن أ sون# ب 0ح� ي �ذ�ين# ال �ن� إف�ي �يم, #ل أ ع#ذ#اب, �#ه0م ل 0وا آم#ن �ذ�ين# ال ف�يال# �0م #نت و#أ #م0 #ع�ل ي �ه0 و#الل ة� خ�ر# �و#اآل #ا �ي الدsن

#م0ون# #ع�ل ت

[24:19] Surely (as for) those who love that scandal should circulate respecting those who believe, they

shall have a grievous chastisement in this world and the hereafter; and Allah knows, while you do

not know.


#ن� و#أ 0ه0 ح�م#ت و#ر# �0م �ك #ي ع#ل �ه� الل ف#ض�ل0 #و�ال# و#لح�يم, ر# ؤ0وف, ر# �ه الل

[24:20] And were it not for Allah's grace on you and His mercy, and that Allah is Compassionate,

Merciful.


�ط#ان� ي الش� خ0ط0و#ات� �ع0وا �ب #ت ت ال# 0وا آم#ن �ذ�ين# ال sه#ا ي# أ #ا ي

م0ر0 � #أ ي �ه0 �ن ف#إ �ط#ان� ي الش� خ0ط0و#ات� ��ع �ب #ت ي و#م#ن

�0م �ك #ي ع#ل �ه� الل ف#ض�ل0 #و�ال# و#ل #ر� �م0نك و#ال اء �ف#ح�ش# �ال ب�ه# الل #ك�ن� و#ل #دSا #ب أ #ح#د8 أ �م:ن 0م م�نك #ا ك ز# م#ا 0ه0 ح�م#ت و#ر#

�يم, ع#ل م�يع, س# �ه0 و#الل اء #ش# ي م#ن :ي ك 0ز# ي

[24:21] O you who believe! do not follow the footsteps of the Shaitan, and whoever follows the footsteps of the Shaitan, then surely he bids the doing of indecency and evil; and

were it not for Allah's grace upon you and His mercy, not one of you would have ever been pure, but Allah purifies

whom He pleases; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.


#ن أ ع#ة� و#الس� �0م م�نك �ف#ض�ل� ال 0وا و�ل0 أ #ل� �ت #أ ي و#ال#

�ين# اك �م#س# و#ال #ى ب ��ق0ر ال و�ل�ي0 أ 0وا 0ؤ�ت ي

#ع�ف0وا �ي و#ل �ه� الل �يل� ب س# ف�ي �م0ه#اج�ر�ين# و#ال �0م #ك ل �ه0 الل #غ�ف�ر# ي #ن أ sون# ب 0ح� ت #ال# أ #ص�ف#ح0وا �ي و#ل

ح�يم, ر� غ#ف0ور, �ه0 و#الل

[24:22] And let not those of you who possess grace and abundance swear against giving to the near of kin and the poor and those who have fled in Allah's way, and

they should pardon and turn away. Do you not love that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving,

Merciful.


#ات� �م0ح�ص#ن ال م0ون# �#ر ي �ذ�ين# ال �ن� إ#ا �ي الدsن ف�ي 0وا 0ع�ن ل #ات� �م0ؤ�م�ن ال ت� �غ#اف�ال# ال

ع#ظ�يم, ع#ذ#اب, �#ه0م و#ل ة� خ�ر# � و#اآل

[24:23] Surely those who accuse chaste believing women, unaware (of the evil), are cursed in this world and the hereafter, and they shall have a

grievous chastisement.


��د�يه�م ي# و#أ �0ه0م #ت ن �س� #ل أ ��ه�م #ي ع#ل ه#د0 �#ش ت #و�م# ي

0ون# #ع�م#ل ي 0وا #ان ك �م#ا ب 0ه0م ل ج0 �ر# و#أ

[24:24] On the day when their tongues and their hands and their feet shall bear witness against

them as to what they did.


�ح#ق� ال #ه0م0 د�ين �ه0 الل 0و#ف:يه�م0 ي �ذ8 #و�م#ئ ي�ين0 �م0ب ال sح#ق� ال ه0و# �ه# الل #ن� أ #م0ون# #ع�ل و#ي

[24:25] On that day Allah will pay back to them in full their just reward, and they shall know that

Allah is the evident Truth.


#ات� �يث ب �خ# �ل ل 0ون# �يث ب �خ# و#ال �ين# �يث ب �خ# �ل ل #ات0 �يث ب �خ# ال#ات� :ب �لط�ي ل 0ون# :ب و#الط�ي �ين# :ب �لط�ي ل #ات0 :ب و#الط�ية, م�غ�ف�ر# #ه0م ل 0ون# #ق0ول ي م�م�ا ؤ0ون# #ر� م0ب �ك# #ئ و�ل

0 أ#ر�يم, ك ق, � و#ر�ز

[24:26] Bad women .are for bad men and bad men are for bad women. Good women are for good men and good

men are for good women


�ر# غ#ي Sا 0وت 0ي ب 0وا ل #د�خ0 ت ال# 0وا آم#ن �ذ�ين# ال sه#ا ي# أ #ا ي

ع#ل#ى :م0وا ل 0س# و#ت وا �س0 �ن #أ ت �#س ت �ى ت ح# �0م �ك 0وت 0ي بون# �ر0 #ذ#ك ت �0م �ك #ع#ل ل �0م �ك ل �ر, ي خ# �0م �ك ذ#ل �ه#ا ه�ل

[24:27] O you who believe! Do not enter houses other than your own houses until you have asked

permission and saluted their inmates; this is better for you, that you may be mindful.


0وه#ا ل #د�خ0 ت ف#ال# #ح#دSا أ ف�يه#ا #ج�د0وا ت ��م ل �ن ف#إ0م0 #ك ل ق�يل# �ن و#إ �0م #ك ل 0ؤ�ذ#ن# ي �ى ح#ت

�ه0 و#الل �0م #ك ل #ى ك �#ز أ ه0و# ج�ع0وا �ف#ار ج�ع0وا �ار�يم, ع#ل #ع�م#ل0ون# ت �م#ا ب

[24:28] But if you do not find any one therein, then do not enter them until permission is given to you; and if it is said to you: Go back, then go back; this is purer for you; and Allah is Cognizant of what

you do.


Sا 0وت 0ي ب 0وا ل #د�خ0 ت #ن أ #اح, ن ج0 �0م �ك #ي ع#ل �س# �ي ل�ه0 و#الل �0م �ك ل #اع, م#ت ف�يه#ا #ة8 0ون ك �م#س �ر# غ#ي

0م0ون# �ت #ك ت و#م#ا �د0ون# 0ب ت م#ا #م0 #ع�ل ي

[24:29] It is no sin in you that you enter uninhabited houses wherein you have your

necessaries; and Allah knows what you do openly and what you hide.


��ص#ار�ه�م #ب أ �م�ن #غ0ضsوا ي �ين# �م0ؤ�م�ن :ل ل ق0ل �#ه0م ل #ى ك �#ز أ �ك# ذ#ل �وج#ه0م ف0ر0 #ح�ف#ظ0وا و#ي

#ع0ون# #ص�ن ي �م#ا ب �ير, ب خ# �ه# الل �ن� إ

[24:30] Say to the believing men that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts; that is purer for them; surely Allah is Aware of

what they do.


#ح�ف#ظ�ن# و#ي �ص#ار�ه�ن� #ب أ �م�ن #غ�ض0ض�ن# ي #ات� �م0ؤ�م�ن :ل ل و#ق0ل�ن# #ض�ر�ب �ي و#ل �ه#ا م�ن ظ#ه#ر# م#ا �ال� إ #ه0ن� #ت ز�ين �د�ين# 0ب ي و#ال# وج#ه0ن� ف0ر0

�و# أ �ه�ن� #ت 0ع0ول �ب ل �ال� إ #ه0ن� #ت ز�ين �د�ين# 0ب ي و#ال# �ه�ن� 0وب ي ج0 ع#ل#ى �خ0م0ر�ه�ن� ب �و# أ �ه�ن� #ت 0ع0ول ب #اء �ن #ب أ �و

# أ �ه�ن� #ت 0ع0ول ب #اء آب �و# أ �ه�ن� #ائ آب

�و# أ �ه�ن� ائ �س# ن �و

# أ �ه�ن� #خ#و#ات أ �ي #ن ب �و# أ �ه�ن� �خ�و#ان إ �ي #ن ب �و

# أ �ه�ن� �خ�و#ان إم�ن# #ة� ب ��ر �اإل و�ل�ي

0 أ �ر� غ#ي �ع�ين# �اب الت و�# أ 0ه0ن� �م#ان ي

# أ �#ت #ك م#ل م#اات� ع#و�ر# ع#ل#ى وا #ظ�ه#ر0 ي �#م ل �ذ�ين# ال الط:ف�ل� و�

# أ ج#ال� الر:�ه�ن� #ت ز�ين م�ن 0خ�ف�ين# ي م#ا #م# 0ع�ل �ي ل �ه�ن� ل ج0 �ر

# �أ ب �ن# #ض�ر�ب ي و#ال# اء :س# الن�ح0ون# 0ف�ل ت �0م �ك #ع#ل ل 0ون# �م0ؤ�م�ن ال sه#ا ي

# أ ج#م�يعSا �ه� الل �ل#ى إ 0وا 0وب و#ت[24:31] And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts and do

not display their ornaments except what appears thereof, and let them wear their head-coverings over their bosoms, and not display their ornaments except to their husbands or their fathers, or the fathers of their husbands, or their sons, or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or those whom their right hands possess, or the male servants not

having need (of women), or the children who have not attained knowledge of what is hidden of women; and let them not strike their feet so that what they hide of their ornaments may be known; and turn to

Allah all of you, O believers! so that you may be successful.


�ح�ين# و#الص�ال �0م م�نك #ام#ى #ي �األ #نك�ح0وا و#أ0وا 0ون #ك ي �ن إ �0م �ك �م#ائ و#إ �0م #اد�ك ب ع� �م�ن

�ه0 و#الل �ه� ف#ض�ل م�ن �ه0 الل �ه�م0 0غ�ن ي اء ف0ق#ر#�يم, ع#ل ع, و#اس�

[24:32] And marry those among you who are single and those who are fit among your male slaves and your female slaves; if they are needy, Allah will make them free from want out of His grace; and

Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing.


�ه0 الل �#ه0م �ي 0غ�ن ي �ى ت ح# #احSا �ك ن #ج�د0ون# ي ال# �ذ�ين# ال #ع�ف�ف� ت �#س �ي و#ل �#ت #ك م#ل م�م�ا #اب# �ت �ك ال #غ0ون# �ت #ب ي �ذ�ين# و#ال �ه� ف#ض�ل م�ن

0وه0م و#آت ا Sر� ي خ# �ف�يه�م �0م �م�ت ع#ل ��ن إ �0وه0م �ب #ات ف#ك �0م 0ك �م#ان ي# أ

ع#ل#ى �0م �ك #ات #ي ف#ت �ر�ه0وا 0ك ت و#ال# �0م #اك آت �ذ�ي ال �ه� الل م�ال� م:ن#ا �ي الدsن #اة� ي �ح# ال ع#ر#ض# #غ0وا �ت #ب :ت ل Sا #ح#صsن ت د�ن# ر#

# أ ��ن إ �غ#اء �ب الغ#ف0ور, اه�ه�ن� �ر# �ك إ #ع�د� ب م�ن �ه# الل �ن� ف#إ �ر�ههsن� 0ك ي و#م#ن

ح�يم, ر�

[24:33] And let those who do not find the means to marry keep chaste until Allah makes them free from want out of His grace. And (as for) those who ask for a writing from among those whom your right hands possess, give them the writing if you know any good in them, and give

them of the wealth of Allah which He has given you; and do not compel your slave girls to prostitution, when they desire to keep chaste, in order to seek the frail good of this world's life; and whoever compels them, then surely after their compulsion Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

�ق�ين# �م0ت :ل ل

[24:34] And certainly We have sent to you clear communications and a description of those who have passed away before you, and an admonition to those

who guard (against evil).


0ور�ه� ن #ل0 م#ث ر�ض�# �و#األ م#او#ات� الس� 0ور0 ن �ه0 الل

ة8 ج#اج# ز0 ف�ي #اح0 �م�ص�ب ال #اح, م�ص�ب ف�يه#ا #اة8 ك �#م�ش كة8 ج#ر# ش# م�ن 0وق#د0 ي ي� د0ر: #ب, #و�ك ك �ه#ا ن

# #أ ك ج#اج#ة0 sالز#اد0 #ك ي �ة8 �ي ب �غ#ر و#ال# �ة8 ق�ي �ر ش# ال� �ة8 0ون �ت ي ز# #ة8 ك #ار# مsب

ع#ل#ى sور, ن #ار, ن ه0 �#م�س#س ت �#م ل �#و و#ل 0ض�يء0 ي 0ه#ا �ت ي ز##ض�ر�ب0 و#ي اء #ش# ي م#ن 0ور�ه� �ن ل �ه0 الل #ه�د�ي ي 0ور8 ن

�يم, ع#ل ي�ء8 ش# 0ل: �ك ب �ه0 و#الل �اس� �لن ل #ال# #م�ث �األ �ه0 الل[24:35] Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth; a likeness of His light is as a

niche in which is a lamp, the lamp is in a glass, (and) the glass is as it were a brightly shining star, lit from a blessed olive-tree, neither eastern nor western, the oil whereof almost gives light though fire touch it not-- light upon light-- Allah guides to His light whom He pleases, and Allah sets forth parables for men, and

Allah is Cognizant of all things.

ص#ال� � و#اآل

[24:36] In houses which Allah has permitted to be exalted and that His name may be remembered in

them; there glorify Him therein in the mornings and the evenings,


�ر� ذ�ك ع#ن �ع, #ي ب و#ال# ة, �ج#ار# ت ��ه�يه�م 0ل ت ال� ر�ج#ال,#اة� ك الز� #اء �يت و#إ ة� الص�ال# � �ق#ام و#إ �ه� الل�ق0ل0وب0 ال ف�يه� #ق#ل�ب0 #ت ت #و�مSا ي #خ#اف0ون# ي

�ص#ار0 #ب � و#األ

[24:37] Men whom neither merchandise nor selling diverts from the remembrance of Allah and the

keeping up of prayer and the giving of poor-rate; they fear a day in which the hearts and eyes shall

turn about;


#ز�يد#ه0م و#ي 0وا ع#م�ل م#ا #ح�س#ن# أ �ه0 الل #ه0م0 #ج�ز�ي �ي ل�ر� �غ#ي ب اء #ش# ي م#ن ق0 ز0 �#ر ي �ه0 و#الل �ه� ف#ض�ل م:ن

اب8 ح�س#

[24:38] That Allah may give them the best reward of what they have done, and give them more out of His

grace; and Allah gives sustenance to whom He pleases without measure.

[24:39] And (as for) those who disbelieve, their deeds are like the mirage in a desert, which the thirsty man deems to be

water; until when he comes to it he finds it to be naught, and there he finds Allah, so He pays back to him his reckoning in

full; and Allah is quick in reckoning;


م#و�ج, اه0 #غ�ش# ي sج:ي� ل #ح�ر8 ب ف�ي 0م#ات8 #ظ0ل ك �و# أ

ح#اب, س# ف#و�ق�ه� م:ن م#و�ج, ف#و�ق�ه� م:ن#د#ه0 ي ج# #خ�ر# أ �ذ#ا إ #ع�ض8 ب ف#و�ق# #ع�ض0ه#ا ب 0م#ات, ظ0لا S0ور ن #ه0 ل �ه0 الل #ج�ع#ل� ي ��م ل و#م#ن اه#ا #ر# ي �#د #ك ي �#م ل

[24:40] Or like utter darkness in the deep sea: there covers it a wave above which is another wave, above which is a cloud, (layers of) utter darkness one above another; when he holds

out his hand, he is almost unable to see it; and to whomsoever Allah does not give light, he has no light.


ف�ي م#ن #ه0 ل :ح0 ب 0س# ي �ه# الل #ن� أ #ر# ت �#م #ل أص#اف�ات8 �ر0 و#الط�ي ر�ض�

# �و#األ م#او#ات� الس��ه0 و#الل �يح#ه0 ب �#س و#ت #ه0 ت ص#ال# �م# ع#ل �ق#د 0ل� ك

0ون# #ف�ع#ل ي �م#ا ب �يم, ع#ل

[24:41] Do you not see that Allah is He Whom do glorify all those who are in the heavens and the

earth, and the (very) birds with expanded wings? He knows the prayer of each one and its glorification,

and Allah is Cognizant of what they do.


�ل#ى و#إ ر�ض�# �و#األ م#او#ات� الس� م0ل�ك0 �ه� �ل و#ل

�م#ص�ير0 ال �ه� الل

[24:42] And Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the eventual

coming.


#ه0 �ن #ي ب 0ؤ#ل:ف0 ي 0م� ث Sا اب ح# س# ج�ي �0ز ي �ه# الل #ن� أ #ر# ت �#م #ل أ �م�ن ج0 #خ�ر0 ي �و#د�ق# ال ى #ر# ف#ت #امSا ك ر0 0ه0 #ج�ع#ل ي 0م� ثف�يه#ا #ال8 ب ج� م�ن م#اء الس� م�ن# ل0 #ز: 0ن و#ي �ه� ل خ�ال#

ع#ن #ص�ر�ف0ه0 و#ي اء #ش# ي م#ن �ه� ب 0ص�يب0 ف#ي د8 #ر# ب م�ن�ص#ار� #ب ��األ ب #ذ�ه#ب0 ي ق�ه� �#ر ب #ا ن س# #اد0 #ك ي اء #ش# ي م�ن

[24:43] Do you not see that Allah drives along the clouds, then gathers them together, then piles them up, so that you see the rain coming forth from their midst? And He sends down of the clouds

that are (like) mountains wherein is hail, afflicting therewith whom He pleases and turning it away from whom He pleases; the

flash of His lightning almost takes away the sight.


�ك# ذ#ل ف�ي �ن� إ �ه#ار# و#الن �ل# �ي الل �ه0 الل 0ق#ل:ب0 ي�ص#ار� #ب �األ و�ل�ي

0 أل: Sة �ر# #ع�ب ل

[24:44] Allah turns over the night and the day; most surely there is a lesson in this for those who

have sight.


م�ن �ه0م ف#م�ن م�اء م�ن �ة8 د#اب 0ل� ك خ#ل#ق# �ه0 و#الل#م�ش�ي ي م�ن �ه0م و#م�ن �ه� #ط�ن ب ع#ل#ى #م�ش�ي يع#ل#ى #م�ش�ي ي م�ن �ه0م و#م�ن �ن� #ي ل �ر�ج ع#ل#ىع#ل#ى �ه# الل �ن� إ اء #ش# ي م#ا �ه0 الل #خ�ل0ق0 ي #ع8 ب �ر

# أق#د�ير, ي�ء8 ش# 0ل: ك

[24:45] And Allah has created from water every living creature: so of them is that which walks upon its belly, and of them is that which walks upon two feet, and of them is

that which walks upon four; Allah creates what He pleases; surely Allah has power over all things.


#ه�د�ي ي �ه0 و#الل #ات8 :ن #ي مsب #ات8 آي #ا �ن ل #نز# أ �#ق#د ل 8 #ق�يم ت �مsس اط8 ص�ر# �ل#ى إ اء #ش# ي م#ن

[24:46] Certainly We have revealed clear communications, and Allah guides whom He

pleases to the right way.


ول� س0 �الر� و#ب �ه� �الل ب �ا آم#ن 0ون# #ق0ول و#يم:ن �ه0م م:ن ف#ر�يق, #و#ل�ى #ت ي 0م� ث #ا #ط#ع�ن و#أ

�ين# �م0ؤ�م�ن �ال ب �ك# #ئ و�ل0 أ و#م#ا �ك# ذ#ل #ع�د� ب

[24:47] And they say: We believe in Allah and in the messenger and we obey; then a party of them turn back after this, and these are not believers.


0م# #ح�ك �ي ل �ه� ول س0 و#ر# �ه� الل �ل#ى إ د0ع0وا �ذ#ا و#إمsع�ر�ض0ون# �ه0م م:ن ف#ر�يق, �ذ#ا إ �#ه0م �ن #ي ب

[24:48] And when they are called to Allah and His Messenger that he may judge between them, lo! a

party of them turn aside.


�ه� #ي �ل إ 0وا �ت #أ ي sح#ق� ال �ه0م0 ل 0ن #ك ي �ن و#إ�ين# ن م0ذ�ع�

[24:49] And if the truth be on their side, they come to him quickly, obedient.


�#م أ 0وا #اب ت �ار � م# أ م�ر#ض, �ه�م 0وب ق0ل #ف�ي أ

��ه�م #ي ع#ل �ه0 الل #ح�يف# ي #ن أ #خ#اف0ون# ي�م0ون# الظ�ال ه0م0 �ك# #ئ و�ل

0 أ �#ل ب 0ه0 ول س0 و#ر#

[24:50] Is there in their hearts a disease, or are they in doubt, or do they fear that Allah and His

Messenger will act wrongfully towards them? Nay! they themselves are the unjust.


�ل#ى إ د0ع0وا �ذ#ا إ �ين# �م0ؤ�م�ن ال ق#و�ل# #ان# ك �م#ا �ن إ#ن أ �#ه0م �ن #ي ب 0م# #ح�ك �ي ل �ه� ول س0 و#ر# �ه� الل

ه0م0 �ك# #ئ و�ل0 و#أ #ا #ط#ع�ن و#أ #ا م�ع�ن س# 0وا #ق0ول ي

�ح0ون# �م0ف�ل ال

[24:51] The response of the believers, when they are invited to Allah and His Messenger that he may judge between them, is only to say: We hear and we obey; and these it is that are the successful.


�ه# الل #خ�ش# و#ي #ه0 ول س0 و#ر# �ه# الل 0ط�ع� ي و#م#نون# �ز0 �ف#ائ ال ه0م0 �ك# #ئ و�ل

0 ف#أ �ق�ه� #ت و#ي

[24:52] And he who obeys Allah and His Messenger, and fears Allah, and is careful of (his

duty to) Him, these it is that are the achievers.


��ن #ئ ل ��ه�م �م#ان ي# أ ج#ه�د# �ه� �الل ب م0وا #ق�س# و#أ

م0وا 0ق�س� ت ال� ق0ل ج0ن� #خ�ر0 #ي ل �#ه0م ت �م#ر# أ

�م#ا ب �ير, ب خ# �ه# الل �ن� إ وف#ة, م�ع�ر0 ط#اع#ة,#ع�م#ل0ون# ت

[24:53] And they swear by Allah with the most energetic of their oaths that if you command them

they would certainly go forth. Say: Swear not; reasonable obedience (is desired); surely Allah is

aware of what you do.


�ن ف#إ س0ول# الر� #ط�يع0وا و#أ �ه# الل #ط�يع0وا أ �ق0لم�ا 0م �ك #ي و#ع#ل ح0م:ل# م#ا �ه� #ي ع#ل �م#ا �ن ف#إ �وا #و#ل تع#ل#ى و#م#ا #د0وا #ه�ت ت 0ط�يع0وه0 ت �ن و#إ �0م �ت ح0م:ل

�ين0 �م0ب ال غ0 #ال# �ب ال �ال� إ ول� س0 الر�

[24:54] Say: Obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn back, then on him rests that which is imposed on him and on you rests that which is imposed on you; and if you obey him, you are on the right way; and nothing rests on

the Messenger but clear delivering (of the message).


0وا و#ع#م�ل �0م م�نك 0وا آم#ن �ذ�ين# ال �ه0 الل و#ع#د##م#ا ك ر�ض�

#ع�د� ب م:ن �ه0م #ن #د:ل 0ب #ي و#ل �#ه0م ل #ض#ى ت �ار �ذ�ي ال #ه0م0 د�ينSا �ئ ي ش# �ي ب 0ون# ر�ك �0ش ي ال# �ي #ن 0د0ون #ع�ب ي Sا م�ن

# أ �خ#و�ف�ه�مق0ون# �ف#اس� ال ه0م0 �ك# #ئ و�ل

0 ف#أ �ك# ذ#ل #ع�د# ب #ف#ر# ك و#م#ن

[24:55] Allah has promised to those of you who believe and do good that He will most certainly make them rulers in the earth as He made

rulers those before them, and that He will most certainly establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them, and that He

will most certainly, after their fear, give them security in exchange; they shall serve Me, not associating aught with Me; and whoever is

ungrateful after this, these it is who are the. transgressors.


#ط�يع0وا و#أ #اة# ك الز� 0وا و#آت ة# الص�ال# #ق�يم0وا و#أح#م0ون# �0ر ت �0م �ك #ع#ل ل س0ول# الر�

[24:56] And keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and obey the Messenger, so that mercy may be

shown to you.


ف�ي م0ع�ج�ز�ين# وا #ف#ر0 ك �ذ�ين# ال #ن� ب #ح�س# ت ال#�س# �ئ #ب و#ل �ار0 الن و#اه0م0

� و#م#أ ر�ض�# �األ

�م#ص�ير0 ال

[24:57] Think not that those who disbelieve shall escape in the earth, and their abode is the fire;

and certainly evil is the resort!

#اح, ن ج0 ��ه�م #ي ع#ل و#ال# �0م �ك #ي ع#ل �س# #ي ل �0م �ك ل ات8 ع#و�ر# ث0 #ال# ث#ع�ض8 ب ع#ل#ى �0م #ع�ض0ك ب 0م �ك #ي ع#ل ط#و�اف0ون# #ع�د#ه0ن� ب

ح#ك�يم, �يم, ع#ل �ه0 و#الل #ات� ي �اآل 0م0 #ك ل �ه0 الل :ن0 #ي 0ب ي �ك# #ذ#ل ك

[24:58] O you who believe! let those whom your right hands possess and those of you who have not attained to puberty ask permission of you three times; before the morning prayer, and when you put off your clothes at midday in summer, and after the prayer of the nightfall; these are three times of privacy for you;

neither is it a sin for you nor for them besides these, some of you must go round about (waiting) upon others; thus does Allah make clear to you the

communications, and Allah is Knowing, Wise.

[24:59] And when the children among you have attained to puberty, let them seek permission as those before them sought permission; thus does

Allah make clear to you His communications, and Allah is knowing, Wise.


ج0ون# �#ر ي ال# �ي ت الال� اء :س# الن م�ن# �ق#و#اع�د0 و#ال#ض#ع�ن# ي #ن أ #اح, ن ج0 �ه�ن� #ي ع#ل �س# #ي ف#ل #احSا �ك ن

#ن و#أ #ة8 �ز�ين ب ج#ات8 #ر: #ب م0ت �ر# غ#ي #ه0ن� #اب �ي ث�يم, ع#ل م�يع, س# �ه0 و#الل �ه0ن� ل �ر, ي خ# #ع�ف�ف�ن# ت �#س ي

[24:60] And (as for) women advanced in years who do not hope for a marriage, it is no sin for them if they put off their clothes without displaying their ornaments; and if

they restrain themselves it is better for them; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.

[24:61] There is no blame on the blind man, nor is there blame on the lame, nor is there blame on the sick, nor on yourselves that you eat from your houses, or your fathers'

houses or your mothers' houses, or your brothers' houses, or your sisters' houses, or your paternal uncles' houses, or your paternal aunts' houses, or your maternal uncles' houses,

or your maternal aunts' houses, or what you possess the keys of, or your friends' (houses). It is no sin in you that you eat together or separately. So when you enter

houses, greet your people with a salutation from Allah, blessed (and) goodly; thus does Allah make clear to you the communications that you may understand.


�ذ#ا و#إ �ه� ول س0 و#ر# �ه� �الل ب 0وا آم#ن �ذ�ين# ال 0ون# �م0ؤ�م�ن ال �م#ا �ن إح#ت�ى 0وا #ذ�ه#ب ي �#م ل ج#ام�ع8 م�ر8

� أ ش#ح�يم, ر� غ#ف0ور, �ه# الل �ن� إ �ه# الل

[24:62] Only those are believers who believe in Allah and His Messenger, and when they are with him on a momentous affair they go not away until they have asked his permission; surely they who

ask your permission are they who believe in Allah and His Messenger; so when they ask your permission for some affair of

theirs, give permission to whom you please of them and ask forgiveness for them from Allah; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

[24:63] Do not hold the Messenger's calling (you) among you to be like your calling one to the other; Allah indeed knows those who steal away from among you, concealing themselves; therefore let those beware who go against his order lest a trial afflict them or there befall them a painful

chastisement.


�ق#د ر�ض�# �و#األ م#او#ات� الس� ف�ي م#ا �ه� �ل ل �ن� إ #ال# أ

[24:64] Now surely Allah's is whatever is in the heavens and the earth; He knows indeed that to which you are conforming yourselves; and on the day on which they are returned to Him He will inform them of what they

did; and Allah is Cognizant of all things.
