Wrecking Operations on the Lo la Belle. — From Mr. Merryjjmn, the subma rine engineer engaged on the above wreck, learn that considerable progress has already lieen made. Four of the large pont- havc been sunk, and the chains for the other are in place to be attached as soon as they are completed. M r. Merry man his made a careful examination of the wreck, and found the hull and all the machinery in excellent condition. The upper works are gone, and' the smoke stack has been car ried away. It is expectel that the remain ing pontoons will be completed within a week, in which case only a short time wil: be necessary to raise the wreck .— Detroit Tribune.
