阅读- 人物研究 

In Reader’s Workshop, readers will be enjoying fiction books. We pay close attention on how characters’ act, think, and feels. Students should be able 

to describe character traits and motives. At home, readers should be thinking about these characters and their actions and writing about them in the Readers Notebook. Please make sure your child is reading for 40-45 

minutes every night and logging their work on their reading logs.

In Writer’s Workshop, we are continuing to craft persuasive essays that present a claim about a topic that writers feel strongly about. In the essay, students will include facts and details that support their opinion. Students 

will present their information in an organized format by using Thinking Maps to structure their information. At home, please make sure that your child is 

drafting opinion essays that convey their claim about a topic of interest that they feel strongly about.

This month in math, we will learn to relate division to multiplication. We will be using several strategies and learning vocabulary associated with
