When I started working at Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology as Administrative Officer, office information was recorded in registers. I often faced problem to gather information when my director asked to provide report quickly. My director also knew the situation. It was almost impossible to prepare reports quickly from papers. He tried several times to train some employees of the departments, but nobody agreed to receive database train as they were almost at the end of service. I could use most common office software; however, they didn’t cover the requirements to computerized office work. I talked with director and admitted in two courses - oracle, and network administration with windows server. After completed the courses successfully, I developed several customized program for all office procedures, it reduced about 80% labour for the office. I was rewarded immediately by getting higher salary, and after a few years I got promotion to next higher position as Assistant Director on June 2009.
