(later referred as FPFM200i).
1.1 Intended audience

Screenshots of the graphical user interface are examples only to illustrate principles.
This especially applies to a software version number visible in a screenshot.
1.5 Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
All waste electrical and electronic products must be disposed of separately from the
municipal waste stream via designated collection facilities appointed by the government
or the local authorities. The WEEE label (see Figure 1) is applied to all such devices.

The correct disposal and separate collection of waste equipment will help prevent poten-
tial negative consequences for the environment and human health. It is a precondition
for reuse and recycling of used electrical and electronic equipment.
For more detailed information about disposal of such equipment, please contact Nokia
Siemens Networks.
The above statements are fully valid only for equipment installed in the countries of the
European Union and is covered by the directive 2002/96/EC. Countries outside the
[square brackets] A key to be pressed on a PC keyboard, for example [F11].
Keys to be pressed simultaneously are concatenated with a “+”

electronic equipment.
1.6 RoHS complianceFPFM200i complies with the European Union RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC on the
restriction of use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
The directive applies to the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, poly-
brominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenylethers (PBDE) in electrical
and electronic equipment put on the market after 1 July 2006.

Products imported or sold in the People’s Republic of China
FPFM200i complies with the Chinese standard SJ/T 11364-2006 on the restriction of the
use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The
standard applies to the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybro-minated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated divinely ethers (PBDE) in electrical and
electronic equipment put on the market after 1 March 2007.
1.7 CE compliance
FPFM200i is in compliance with the essential requirements and other relevant provi-
sions of Directive: 2006/95/EC, 2004/108/EC, and 1999/5/EC.

1.8 MEF compliance
FPFM200i operating at the NNI delivers EPL, EVPL and E-LAN service complies with
the Metro Ethernet Forum MEF14 technical specification. FPFM200i operating at the
UNI delivers EPL, EVPL and E-LAN service complies with the Metro Ethernet Forum
MEF9 technical specification.

2 Overview
2.1 Mechanical Structure
2.1.1 Shape and Dimension
The FlexiPacket FirstMile 200i (Later referred as FPFM200i in short) indoor unit (IDU)
has been made into a card that can be inserted into and works with the Flexi Multiradio
10 BTS, which is a standard sub-rack that is compatible with standard 19-inch rack and
ETSI N3 rack.
Table 4 shows the dimensions of FPFM200i:

2.2 System Types
For FPFM200i release 2.0EP2, all system types that can be configured are as follows:
1. N x (1+0), N = 1...4
2. N x (1+1), N = 1…2

The System Module has to be powered off before installing or replacing the transmissionsub-module.If cable entries are installed, remove them.
Steps
Remove the FPFM200i dummy unit as follows:
a Undo the screws holding the FSMx core in place.
b Pull out the core.
c Remove the four screws holding the FPFM200i dummy unit in place.
g Leave the other dummy units in place if you are not installing any other optional sub-modules.

3 Insert the connection card into the slot on the FSMx core.
g The transmission sub-module connection card looks identical with the connectioncard for the FPFD. Make sure you are inserting the correct card.

4 Align the transmission sub-module with the guide pin on the FSMx core and push
the sub-module in place.

5 Fix the transmission sub-module with 4 x M5x25 screws (included in the accessory
bag) and tighten to 4.0 Nm.
g Do not reuse dummy unit screws.

g Incorrect cables and seals may not provide secured weather protection. In outdoorinstallations, including the outdoor cabinet, use only tested IP65 class outdoor cables
with seals provided by Nokia Siemens Networks. This is also recommended for indoor
installations.

Steps
Remove IP seals from the relevant transmission sub-module ports.Store the seals for later use.
2 Route a transmission cable through the cable entry.
3 Pull back the connector seal covering the transmission cable connector.
4 Connect the cable to the transmission sub-module.
5 Push the cable connector seal firmly in place.
6 Coil up the excess cable and fix it on the module casing with cable ties.
7 Repeat steps 2-6 for all the transmission cables required for your configuration.
8
Make sure that all the connector seals are properly installed.
