for securing the room. Even though he was facingback surgery the next week, Donny attended themeeting and ran the show in his usual wellorganized way. Surgery Day on Tuesday: Donnydid very well and the surgery was not as extensive aswas thought to be necessary going in, so he is wellon his way to recovery. I am sure that he will be atthe show making sure everything is runningsmoothly. Thanks, Donny, for being so dedicated.

The approval of the minutes of the July meetingwas the first order of business. The club has 3 newmembers bringing the total to 162. New memberJames Spencer (2012 Super Bee) attended his firstmeeting. Welcome to the club James.

Club Treasurer Wayne Hall's report containedgood news about the club's financial situation andthat there were 44 pre-entries to the show as of thetime of the meeting.

Stan Hardcastle was continuing to work with ourT-shirt vendor on the final design for this year'sshow shirt. He was hopeful that they would ship inthe next 2 weeks. He plans to have a tribute to ourlate club member Wade Joiner and 50th anniversaryrecognition of the street Hemi and the DodgeCharger on the shirts. Stan also reported on theWoodward Dream Cruise that he attended. He saysthat you should put this one on your list of “must-dos” as cruise officials estimated that 50,000 carsand 1.5 million people took part.

On a much smaller scale, several membersattended the Hendersonville cruise-in "MoparNight" on Friday Aug.26th. There were anestimated 50 Mopars in attendance for the 2nd yearin a row. That is a great turn out.

After having some health issues of his own, it wasgreat to see Events Director James Peach at themeeting. He is working on getting members tosign-up to work during our upcoming show. If youhaven't signed up yet, contact James. There will beplenty to do, but you will have plenty of time to visitwith the people and see the great vehicles.

A few of the events of interest in the near futureinclude the Gladefest show (9/17), Gateway ClassicCars Sayonara Summer show (10/15), and the 29thMopars with Big Daddy (11/5&6).

The Good Guys Nostalgia Nationals will be atBeech Bend in Bowling Green, KY Oct. 14-16. Theclub will be working at this show to raise money for
