Q1- Study the distribution system and write a 250 words on it distribution system

Ans The distribution system of Vishal Mega Mart in panchkula consists of logistic, inventory

and warehouse.

Ans-Firstly the manager of the retail store send purchase order to the headquarters New Delhi,

then the purchase manager in the headquarters send the order to the manufacture for non-

perishable items and to venders for perishable items. Then the manufacture according to the time

given send the perishable and non perishable items to the warehouse of that retail house where

there is requirement. The warehouse of the Vishal mega mart is also know as the central logistic

area or dispatch center, generally it is very near to the retail showroom due to the easy

transportation from the warehouse to the retail house. Then comes the inventory of the vishal

mega mart according to the manger of retail store the inventory level is in the ratio of 1:3 , if thesale of the retail house is 1% then they have to maintain the stock of 3% of it sale. The main

requirement in the distribution system is to make the real time inventory in the stores and in their

data that is the most difficult task in the whole distribution system. The most important part in

the distribution system is to make clear picture of the inventory level in store and in their

computer. The most common threat in the retail store is by the retail store own staff because they

are very much responsible of the theft which takes place in the retail store. On the daily basis

each and every item is to count by the manager.

Q2- How did you get the information?

Ans I got the information from the manager of the Vishal Mega Mart Mr Deepak kumar but for

the security reason and the policy of the company he does not want to talk too much on the

camera.

Q3-Describe what make the distribution system so efficient ?

The distribution system of the Vishal Mega Mart is efficient due to the inventory ratio they are

using which will help them to store inventory the 3 times of the sale of the goods and other

system that make more distribution system more efficient is to protect the inventory fromshrinking that means there should be equal amount of stock should be present in their retail store

and in the data base of their computer if there is any mismatch between the inventory available

and the data about the inventory ratio available in there computers data base it would lead to

wastage of the goods and inability of the retail manager to give purchase order to the venders

which would lead to shortage of goods . The protection of the shrinking of the inventory is done

on daily basis by daily counting the goods available in the store and the amount of good sold

during the day and the reaming amount of goods available for sales.

Ans I have talk to the manager of the retail store Mr Deepak kumar and the websites I have

access is the www.vishalmegamart.net and vishalmegamart.com

Q5- How does the retail house deals with perishable items and what items are considered

most persiable in their line items for sales

Ans The most persiable items are in the retail store is the fruits and vegetables they are

purchased on the daily basis direct from the farmers but the vishal mega mart does not deal with

the perishable items.
