Zoveel tweeps, zoveel types Sinds op de opkomst van Twitter zijn er tig applicaties en sites omheen
gebouwd. Gisteren werd Tveet.nl toegevoegd, een site die realtime volgt wat er
tijdens de uitzending over televisieprogramma’s wordt getweet. Aardig, maar de
tv-recensent op Twitter bestond natuurlijk al lang. En met hem vele andere

Wat zijn de claims in dit nieuwsartikel?
Wat is de boodschap van de journalist?
Wat zeggen deze “tweeps” (over de offline wereld waarin we leven)?
Bestaat er zoiets als een online identiteit?

Spiegeltje, spiegeltje … aan de wand? Weblogs worden met grote frequentie omschreven als web-gebaseerde
platformen, die het “auteurs” mogelijk maken om zichzelf uit te drukken en te
presenteren. De auteur eigent zich een bescheiden deel van de immens grote
virtuele wereld toe. Daarbinnen construeert hij/zij voor zichzelf geheel op maat
een leefomgeving en identiteit. Blogs lijken daarom ook ultieme uitingen
van postmoderne sentimenten, waarbij een online of virtuele identiteit wordt
geconceptualiseerd als gefragmenteerd, meervoudig, subversief en vaak gefocust
op expressie of optreden. Denk aan de mogelijkheid van rollenspellen en het
gebruik van “nicknames”. De anonimiteit van de blogosphere vereenvoudigt het
naar voren brengen van en experimenteren met pseudoniemen en alter-ego’s.
Een virtueel lichaam is snel samengesteld, als er nog überhaupt sprake is van
enige vorm van lichamelijkheid.

I like this very much. Shows how we shape ideas and knowledge – rather than just being consumers. i
wonder if it could be adapted to show flow of knowledge development (or maturing) between

Astonishing post Venessa! And a very nice visual
I find myself moving up and down that panarchy as you call it, depending on the topics at hand. My
Observers & Scribes also differ
Very interesting though, a nice breakdown, and when I read the memes and think of topics a few
people on Twiter come to mind – vivid!

We all have different facets of our identity and being online allows us to edit that more carefully
for general consumption, but I'm still troubled by those that appear to deliberately deceive - the
man who uses a female avatar with a neutral username or the more famous online identity who is
a woman but presents a persona of different gender etc. This last is a specific example described
in Success or Identity? Does it matter if it doesn't impact the service or work they're offering?
What about if the 'About' page carries personal details of the persona but not the real person?

Somewhat preserve our identities online keep certain things private. Ee can say that The Online
Anonymity is ending.

The thing thats real nice about making arguments on the net is you get real answers and real
emotions, the anonymity shows ones real character.
