� Fakebook is a template that students can use to: ¡  Organize information ¡  Summarize topics and content ¡  Communicate with each other ¡  Include videos, pictures and comments

� Science: ¡  Endangered Species Presentation

¢  Students create a Fakebook summarizing an endangered species; students present out to the class

¡  Animal Phyla summary ¢  Each student summarizes one animal from a phyla;

other students use the url to comment and ask questions.

¡  Cell Organelles ¢  Students summarize information on a particular cell

organelle. They have conversations with other organelles on their “wall.”

� Language Arts: ¡  Character summaries

� Social Studies ¡  Historical Figures

� Choral Music (recommendation) ¡  Performance Techniques, style, culture, history,

and creation.

� Math ¡  Walk through with step-by-step instructions for

solving a problem. Students can insert YouTube videos explaining how to solve problems.

� Dedication to exposing all students to rigor � Integration of technology into the classroom � Product-based learning � Engaging bell-to-bell instruction � Collaboration for improved student learning

� Product Focus: ¡  Students create a Fakebook page including

pictures, videos, and commentary. � Organization of Knowledge:

¡  Students must organize their thoughts, summarize their learning, and create concise commentary for their page.

� Clear and Compelling Product Standards: ¡  Students receive a rubric and explanation before

starting the project. ¡  Fakebook is a template for the end product.

� Affiliation: ¡  Students can make comments on each others’

pages and engage in questioning and explanation. � Affirmation

¡  Students will use each others’ projects to gather the required instructional information.

� Choice ¡  Fakebook can be one product choice from a list of

many (ex: write a story, Fakebook page, create a poster, write a song, etc.)
