Housed in the stunning surroundings of the Palazzo Corsini in the centre of Florence, the Opera Scenes Summer School gives students the opportunity to enhance their performance skills in opera. Running alongside the dynamic New Generation Festival (NGF), the course provides one-to-one working sessions with industry professionals, including individually tailored performance psychology sessions with Dr Ralph Strehle and repertoire coaching with NGF music staff. Opera

director, Pedro Ribeiro, and musical director, Julia Lynch, will work with students on a series of opera scenes culminating in a public performance in the ballroom of the Palazzo. The NGF production of Rossini’s La Cenerentola which will be performed in the Palazzo gardens during the course provides opportunities with involvement in the chorus for the male participants as well as working sessions and talks from the exciting young professionals involved.
