The Mission

• One Laptop per Child (OLPC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide every

• child in the world access to new channels of learning, sharing and self-expression.

• In partnership with the Zamora Teran Foundation, OLPC is working to provide each child with a

• rugged, low-cost, low-power connected laptop and/or tablet computer that empowers individual

• learning and growth.

The Five Principles OLPC is an education project, not a laptop project.

1. The children keep the laptops. They can take them home and use them wherever they want. 2. The focus is on primary school education, on children 6 to 12 years old. 3. Deployments saturate the region. The project is implemented in entire classrooms and schools so no child or teacher gets left out. 4. Children can connect to the Internet. This enables them to communicate with the world and have access to vast resources of information. 5. Children are free to grow and adapt. The laptops come with free and open-source software that is easy to use and adapt, which enables children to become active participants in a global learning community.

Hope For Kisii County

View the story of hope we hope to bring to the village in Kisii. @ https://watermission.org/long-awaited-hope/ The Water Missions Team assessed the need the summer of 2016. Today the women of the village carry water great distances for their families if they can find water. Consider going to www.BergquistFoundation.org if you wish to help make a difference for these village mothers in Kisii County, Kenya.
