Expectations Be Polite

◦ You are representing the school.◦ Do leave a good impression on the visitors by being on your best behaviour

Be willing to answer questions! ◦ These visitors will have many questions about the school as they are choosing

what school they will be for the next 2 years, don’t be shy to answer any questions they have

◦ But please remember we are trying to persuade them to come to NJ, not scare them away!

Page 3: St e lecture bstg draft 2

Expectations Personal Experience

◦ The visitors will want to know what YOUR NJ experience was like So don’t be afraid to share with them your experience when bringing them around school

◦ Nothing negative about the school should be spread.

Personal Grooming◦ Do not come in crumpled/untidy uniform ◦ Refer to the slides on the briefing that was conducted on 23rd October for

more detailed information◦ Attire check will be conducted on the training session on the 27th December

Expectations Don’t lie!

◦ If you are unsure of anything, please clarify with us (Alex/Glenys/Jiahui) before relaying false information about the school/event

◦ Do not feel compelled to lie about your experience in NJC as well, do give a truthful description of your life in NJ

◦ It is okay to say a negative comment, (don’t need to pretend we don’t mug :P). However, do not just let it stay as a negative comment. Do try to point out the good things in what people normally assume to be negative.

◦ Do direct them to the registration booth if you do not know how to answer their questions on the day itself.

Eloquence◦ Speak in proper English and be fluent ◦ This is also what we will look out for the most when we are assessing you ;)

Script The script is merely a guide. Do not remember it word for word cause it will make you seem very robotic and disconnected.

Just remember to mention the main points at each location◦ Where they are◦ What is the place used for◦ Who uses the place

If you have any fun fact or trivia you feel like sharing with the visitors, FEEL FREE TO SHARE IT 8D

The script is attached with this e-lecture

Disclaimer As we were unable to go into the boarding school to film a video of the route, we have included pictures of the areas that you will visit for the tour.

Directions on how to navigate from location to location is in the script as well

On the 29th Nov, we have obtained boarding passes to bring you into the boarding school.

There, we will familiarise you with the route. Furthermore, as majority of you are living in the boarding school, do try out the routes for yourselves if possible

Thank you.
