SEASON 3 EVENT PACKAGE

Page 2: SFU FW Season 3

Founded by SFU student and young entrepreneur Kayode Fatoba, SFU Fashion Week is a creative, diverse, and cultural fashion experience that features both the University’s branded styles and works as a platform that features local grassroots designers within our community. While the concept is still quite new to the university community, it has quickly generated hype and grown through social media. SFUXFW stands as a platform for community expression and social awareness through fashion. The goal and unique philosophy behind SFUXFW is to promote the pride, diverse style, creativity, and distinct identity of the community, while encompassing social issues and serving as a time capsule for future generations interested in seeing the change in cultural expression over time. Through SFU Fashion Week, our aim is to create a distinctive community of individuals that are not just passive consumers of fashion, but active, engaged and aware participants in fashion and culture. This year, SFUXFW is taking place from March 30 through to April 1 across all three of SFU’s campuses.
