1. Smart Antennas Basic Overview 125 KHz

Smart Antennas combine the traditional Reader and Antenna components into a single small housing (see additional SmartAntenna housing options and ranges on following pages). Smart Antennas are available in:

RS232 versions Network-able versions

(also configurable to drive a relay) (M12 connector shown, also available in twisted pair pigtailwiring)

Notes: Available in both 5vdc and 24vdc. Recommended and preferred is 24vdc for networking as power requirement is more forgiving inlong cable runs (4.75vdc is all that is needed at each Smart Antenna for successful operation). 5vdc supplies tend to dropoff sharply over even short distances, although 5vdc will provide 5% to 30% more read range. Ask to see a 5vdc read range chart.Regulated power supplies must be employed. Not available with Read Only 10 hex character Tag options. See Tag options on page 5.
