When it comes to safety on the road, you cant be too careful.Which is why weve drawnon our experience of developing active and passive safety features for the Peugeot 207 andevolved them specifically to suit a coup cabriolet.As a result, the 207 CC has been specifically

engineered to protect you and your passengers, without losing any of its elegance.

Passive safety

Your 207 CCs reinforced bodyshellis designed to absorb impact energy

to protect you and your pas sengers.

In the event of a head-on collision,the steering column moves down,lowering the chance of it harming

the driver and cutting the risk o f theengine and gearbox being pushedback into the cabin.The driversfootrest is also designed to absorb

the shock of any impact, reducing thepossibility of ankle injuries.

Should you be hit from the side, its

reassuring to know that youreprotected by an armoured safety cell

that has reinforcement panels builtinto the side.So everyone s safe.

You cant put a price on safety.Which is why your 207 CC c omeswith active roll hoops fitted asstandard (the first car in its class todo so).These have been speciallyengineered to protect the heads ofall occupants, whether the roof is upor down,should the unforeseenhappen and the car rolls over duringan accident.

Weve also made sure that the frontseat belts are equipped with bothpretensioners and force-limiters and

the two rear seat belts are equipped

Active safety

Some days it seems like every roadis just one long hazard.Fortunately,should your 207 CC need to stop inan emergency,o r be in any danger ofskidding, you have the reassurance ofknowing that it has a sophisticatedbraking system on board, comprising:

Anti-lock brakes (ABS), to help youretain control of the steering whenyou need to stop in an emergency.

Electronic Brake Force Distribution(EBFD), which steps in to applybraking force separately onindividual wheels maintaining

stability even when youre brakingon a corner.

Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)increases your braking power tohelp you come to a halt quicklyand safely.

You also have the added benefit ofour Electronic Stability Programme*(ESP), which performs four furtherfunctions for extra safety:

Traction Control (ASR) adjustsyour brake pressure, and ifnecessary the engine revs, toprevent the wheels from spinningwhen accelerating or on slipperyroad surfaces.

Dynamic Stability Control (CDS)continuously monitors andcompares data transmitted by both

the steering wheel sensor and the

yaw sensor to detect any over orundersteer, discretely re-balancing

the car where necessar y. Low Dynamic ESP (LDE) makes

minor corrections to your brakepressure around bends to avoidany loss of control.(New feature.)

Understeer Control Logic (UCL)reduces road speed by cutting the

throttle and applying brake forceto two wheels if any under steeroccurs.(New feature.)

The 207 CC puts your safety first inother ways too.The high-intensityheadlamps feature static directionalheadlights** which make it easier tospot cyclists or pedestrians at theside of the road. And if you do have
