Location

1. Select a place wIIh a strong, level floor,,

2, Aliow 5 inches of space between Ihe back ofthe refrigerator and any adjacent wall..

3, Avoid direct sunlight and heat. Directsunlight may affect the acrylic coating°Heat sources nearby will cause higherelectricily consumption

4. Avoid very moist places. Too much moislureinthe air will cause frost to form very quicklyon the evaporator, and your refrigerator willhave to be defrosted very frequently,

To avoid vibration, the cabinet must be set level. To start the refrigerator, turn the temperaturecontrol to the position corresponding to thedesired cooling. The refrigerator temperaturewill vary depending on the quantity of the foodstored and on the frequency with which the dooris opened.

Turn the control to the "O" position to.temporarily disconnect the cooling cycle_ Afterdefrosling and if the refrigerator has been left outof use for some lime, set the control to maximumlot 2 to 3 hours before turning to the desiredposilien. When the refrigerator is not to be usedfor a long period of time, disconnect Ihe plug andleave the door padtal[y open,,

Note: Wait 3 to 5 minutes before reslarting ifoperation has been Interrupted

Ice Cube Trey

Ice cube tray Is flexible. Twist tray to removeice cubes,, It the Ice cube tray is frozen hard tothe evaporator surface, run a little water over thetray° Never use a knife or other metal instrumentto remove ice cube tray because this maydamage the evaporator (Fig. C)

Remove the exterior and interior packings, wipethe oulstde thoroughly with a soft dry clolh andthe Inside wilh a wet, lukewarm cloth. Avoidplacing the cabinet in a narrow recess or nearany heat source, direct suniighi, or moisture,.Let air circulate freely around the cabinet. Keepthe rear of the refrigerator 5 inches away fromlhe wall

Cleaning

To clean the inside, use a soft clothand a solution01a tablespoon of bakfng soda to one quart ofwater, ora mild soap suds so]uUon, or some milddetergent. Wash ice cube tray, drip tray, andglide out shelves in a mlld detergent solution, then dry and wipe wllh a soft cloth. Clean theoutside with a soft damp cloth and some milddetergent or appliance cleaner

Defrosting

Fig.B

Thisrefrigeratoris equipped witha "Push Button"(semi-automatic)defrost thermostatsystem. Toactivatethe defrost cycle, simply push( in ) thered defrost button located inthecenter of thecontrolknob/diaL (do not lure the controlknob/dlal to zero=off ) The defrost cycle isinitiated rmmedlelely.Whendefrostingiscomplete, the "Push Button"wilt release(pop.out)automaticallyand resume normal operatingconditionsat the same temperaturesetting.

NOTE:If the "push Button" is activated (pushed-in)acctdenlally, it will not be possible to "manually"pult-out the push button. (deactivate the defrostcycle) You must either let the defrost cycle run it'scourse or,

* Apply (hold) a dishcloth soaked In hot wateragainst the thermoslat capillary line and bracket, located on the underside of the freezercompadment. The heat transfer from the dish clothwilt cause a temperafure rise on the thermostatcapillary, (sensing tlne) causing the internalcontacts to close This wi}l resume normal

operating conditions, II may take several minutesand/or repeat applications before the push buttonwtllrelease

Defrosting of your refrigerator should take placewhenever ice build-up inside the freezercompartment reaches 1/4" (dmm) thick. Defrostingmay take a few hours, depending on the amountof accumu]atedice and ambient indoor

temperature. To speed-up the defrosting process, remove all frozen foods from the freezer section°

Leaving the door partlalty ajar for a "shod" period oftime will also speed-up the process.

IMPORTANT.' You must remember to close the

refrigerator door belore the defrost cycleterminates and normal operating conditionsresume automatically. The drip tray should be inposition directly be_ow the freezer compartment tocatch evaporated water during defrosting.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Never use sharp or pointedinstruments to defrost/remove Ice from theevaporator/freezer compartment Theevaporator/freezer compartment containsrefrigerated gas lines and ifaccidentllypunchedtpterced, will render the refrigeratorinoperable and "void" the manufacturers warranty.

DO NO ALLOW THE REFRIGERATOR TOCONTINUE OPERATION IF THE FREEZERCOMPARTMENT IS PIERCED.

After defrosting is complete, set the control tomaximum for2 to 3 hours beforeturning to thedesiredposition.Whenthe refrigeratorIs notto beusedfora long period of time, disconnect theapplianceItem the electrical supplyand leave thedoor partially open,This will help to reduce moldand mildew build-up

NOTE: Wail 3 to 5 minutes before attempting torestart the r_dgerator if operation has beeninterrupted

Vacation Time

For short vacation psr[Qds, leave the control

knobs at their usual settings. During longerabsences, (a) remove eli foods, (b) disconnectfrom electdcal curie!, (c) clean the refrigeralorthoroughly, including defrost pan, (d) leave dooropen to avoid possible formations of condensate, mold orodors,
