description
During twelve months, each time around full moon, I spent one night with a group of homeless people at the main railway station of Ghent, Belgium, mainly listening, talking, watching, laughing, walking, sitting, learning, and photographing. And eventually –maybe– briefly sleeping as well. The project goes on now following some of my new friends beyond the station. Some have a roof now, some are in hospital and will never come out. Some are better, some are worse, much worse then back in 2011. What is coming out, is stunning, for living outside, without a room of one’s own, a home, or neither, is not for the faint of heart.
