Research Experience
Sept 2011 – Present: Graduate Researcher, Dept. of Mathematics and PhysicsEngineering, Cairo University, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo, Egypt.
- Used Matlab to make a compact analytical model for nanoscale double-gate tunnel
FETs to be used in circuit spice for designing inverters and SRAMs.- Used Matlab to make 2D finite difference simulations for the current transport in
nanoscale double-gate MOSFET based on Non-Equilibrium Green’s Function(NEGF).
- Simulated different gated silicon tunnel FET structures on Silvaco and SentaurusTCAD tools based on non-local tunneling models.
- Simulated fabrication process of tunnel FETs and MOSFETs using Athena toolin Silvaco and sprocess tool in Sentaurus.
- Simulated nanoscale double-gate MOSFET using Atlas tool in Silvaco.
Feb 2011 – Jul 2011: Graduate Research Assistant, Yousef Jameel Science andTechnology Research Center, American University, Cairo, Egypt.
- Established significant experience in nanotechnology and sub-micron CMOSprocessing such as clean room work, Ultraviolet-beam Lithography, dry/wetetching, and characterization of microstructures using scanning electronmicroscope.
- Established significant experience in laser annealing using KrF Excimer Laser.- Simulated Laser interaction with patterned silicon wafer using COMSOL Multi-
physics.- Designed patterned masks for silicon wafer using Tanner EDA, and Clewin
Layout Editor.
