Having catapulted to success since winning the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2007, American tenor Michael Fabiano has gone from strength to strength at the Met, Milan’s La Scala, English National Opera, and San Francisco Opera, and made a notable recital debut last year as part of the prestigious Harriman-Jewell Series in Missouri. After capturing exceptional notices in the Met’s HD transmission of Otello opposite Renée Fleming this season, he will return to the Met in 2013-2014 for a new production of Die Fledermaus. Program to include works by Liszt, Duparc, and Tosti.

“He sings with effortless beauty of tone, and an exquisite sense of line.” - TiM ASHLEy, THE GuARDiAN (LONDON)

a favorite at the Met, Covent Garden, Paris Opera, Munich, and Vienna. Warmly remembered for her devastating portrayal of the title role in Madama Butterfly recently with Washington National Opera, Martínez combines a timbre of arresting beauty with extraordinary immediacy of expression.

Selected by Opera News as one of the elite “next wave” among today’s most exciting young vocal stars, Pisaroni brings an old-fashioned dash of sex appeal to an extraordinarily wide repertoire, ranging from the Baroque through the coloratura exertions of bel canto to German Lieder. Having caught all eyes and ears through his appearances in the Met’s recent HD transmissions of Don Giovanni and The Enchanted Isle, he makes his Washington-area recital debut with Vocal Arts just prior to a return to the Met. Program to include works by Beethoven, Brahms, Liszt, and Reichardt.

“The terrific young Italian bass-baritone rattled through his show-stopping numbers with evident glee and absolute authority.” - HuGO SHiRLEy, TELEGRAPH (LONDON)

Program to include works by Grieg, Schumann, R. Strauss, Fauré, Bizet, Rachmaninoff, and Korean composers.

“Almost a quarter-century after her first Met Mimì, Ms. Hong sounded fresh and radiant, her singing distinguished by beautiful phrasing and refined pianissimos.”

Back by popular demand following his wildly successful Vocal Arts DC recital debut in 2009, this stunning

American tenor continues to expand his already enormous international fan base with an unbeatable mix of artistry, pyrotechnics, and sheer loveliness of sound. As an exponent of true bel canto, his interpretations bear comparison with the finest singers of any generation. He returns to DC fresh from performances at the Met in Bellini’s I Puritani, with which he already wowed audiences with Washington Concert Opera.
