I.PROJECT OVERVIEW

TO CONCEPTAULIZE AN EXHIBIT AREA WITHIN AN EXPOSITION HALL.THE AREA CONSISTS OF 5 UNITS 2MTR X 3MTR BOOTHS WITH A TOTAL MEASUREMENT OF 6MTR X 10MTR EQUIVALENT TO 60 SQM OF EXHIBIT AREA. THE EXHIBIT AREA IS LOCATED ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE OF THE EXPO AREA AND IS BOUNDED ON ALL SIDES BY EXHIBIT WALKWAYS.

THE CLIENT, LEPANTO CERAMICS INC-LEPANTO TILES, A LEADER IN THE CERAMIC TILE INDUSTRY, WILL BE SHOWCASING THEIR EXISTING PRODUCTS PLUS SOME NEW TILE MODELS DURING THE EXPOSITION DATES.

II. DESIGN CONCEPT

TILES, A LOT OF FLOOR AND WALL TILES, THE CONVENTIONAL APPROACH IF TASKED TO EXHIBIT TILES, WOULD BE TO USE THEM AS FINISHING MATERIAL ON THE FLOOR, WALLS AND TO DISPLAY THEM AS IF HANGING A PORTRAIT. •THE DESIGN TEAM’S APPROACH WAS TO PRESENT THE PRODUCT AS THE FOCUS OF THE EXHIBIT. THE ‘TILE’ IS THE EXHIBIT PIECE.

•TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THE ‘TILE’, THE CONCEPT PROPOSES TO PUT UP STORY AND PICTURE BOARDS SHOWING THE VARIOUS APPLICATIONS OF THE PRODUCT. CUSTOMERS WILL BE ORIENTED TO THEIR VARIED USES.

•TO ACCOMPANY THESE BOARDS WITH THE ACTUAL PRODUCT SAMPLE WITHIN AN ARMS LENGTH OF THE VIEWER-CUSTOMER SO THAT THEY CAN OBSERVE THE PRODUCT QUALITIES AND ACTUALLY ‘FEEL’ THE PRODUCT TEXTURE.

•TO MOUNT THESE BOARDS & TILES ON A MODULAR DISPLAY UNIT. THESE UNITS WILL HAVE DISPLAY BOARDS ON THE FRONT AND REAR SIDES.

II. DESIGN CONCEPT •THE LAYOUT OF THESE MODULES WITHIN THE EXHIBIT AREA WILL INCORPORATE AREAS FOR NEW PRODUCTS AND FOR EXISTING PRODUCTS

•THE CONCEPT ALSO PROPOSES THAT THE WHOLE FRAMING AND FLOOR COMPONENTS ARE ALSO MODULAR IN DESIGN. THESE WILL ALSO INCLUDE WALL PANELS AND SIGNAGE PANELS THAT ARE ALSO MODULAR IN NATURE.FLOOR PANELS

FRAMING WITH 2ND LEVEL FLOOR PANELS AND STAIR. FLOOR PANELS WITH CARPET TILE FINISH.

FRAMING WITH PARTIAL WALL PANELS AND FIRST LEVEL WITH CARPET TILE FINISH.

•KNOCK DOWN COMPONENTS ARE EASILY ASSEMBLED AND CAN BE STORED AND THEN USED FOR OTHER INDOOR EXHIBITS IN THE FUTURE. MODULES CAN BE CONFIGURED TO BE USED AS A SMALL 2M X 3M BOOTH OR AS LARGE AS SHOWN.

III. DESIGN AESTHETICS

•THE USE OF PICTURE WALLS, GRAPHICAL STICKERS, MOUNTED LETTER SIGNAGES AND PRODUCT BOARDS ARE PART OF THE WHOLE CONCEPT OF A MUSEUM TYPE EXHIBIT AREA.

•THE USE OF FROSTED, TRANSLUCENT AND CLEAR GLAZING OR ACRYLIC PANELS WAS ALSO CONSIDERED TO PRESENT A FEELING OF OPENESS AND MODERN STYLES.

•THE OVER-ALL AESTHETIC VALUE OF THE EXHIBIT AREA IS ENVISIONED BY THE ARCHITECT-DESIGNER AS A MODERN, INDUSTRIAL, MUSEUM TYPE MODULAR STRUCTURE WHICH CAN BE USE AS A MARKETING TOOL EVERYTIME THE NEED ARISES.

•SHOWN ON THE FOLLOWING PAGES ARE THE SCHEMATICS AND ARCHITECT’S PERSPECTIVES OF THE FINAL FINISHED STRUCTURE.

V. CONSIDERATIONS FOR IMPLEMENTATION

UPON APPROVAL OF THIS CONCEPT AND CORRESPONDING PROPOSAL, THE DESIGN TEAM FORMALIZES THE FOLLOWING RESONSIBILITIES: •BASED ON THE INITIAL SCHEMATICS, THE DESIGN TEAM LOCATES REPUTABLE FABRICATORS AND MANUFACTURERS FOR THE FLOOR PANELS, FRAMING, WALL PANELS AND DISPLAY MODULES.

•THE CLIENT AGREES TO APPROPRIATE BUDGET FOR SECTIONAL MOCK-UP PROCEDURES TO DETERMINE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY & STABILITY SO THAT REVISIONS AND RECTIFICATIONS ARE PROPERLY ADDRESSED IF NECESSARY.

•THESE PROCEDURES ARE ESSENTIAL IN KNOWING COST IMPLICATIONS.

•IF AND WHEN THESE MODULES WOULD HAVE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT TO THE COMPANY’S ALLOTED BUDGET, THE ARCHITECT-DESIGN TEAM AGREES TO DOWNGRADE THE DESIGN IN ORDER TO MEET THE TARGETED BUDGET.

•THE COMPANY IN RETURN ACKNOWLEDGES THE ARCHITECT-DESIGNER’S RE-DESIGN AND AGREES TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION FOR THE PROCESS.
