WORRRD UP!WORRRD UP!

Make a tissue paper

CORSAGE (n., a flower or small group of flowers that a woman

wears on her clothing or attached to her wrist on special occasions )

Here comes the sun! Celebrate the new season by creating decorative art featuring lots of fun colors and vocabulary words, too!

Materials• tissue paper in an array of colors• green ribbon• scissors• glue• card stock paper• corsage or safety pin

Directions: Cut a circle about 2 inches in diameter out of card stock paper. Scrunch a small piece of tissue paper into a tiny ball and roll it around in your fingers until it is nice and round. Glue it to the center of the card stock paper. Cut a strip of tissue paper about 8 inches wide and roll it into a tube of paper. Begin twisting the tissue paper and gluing it around the tissue paper ball in center of the circle. Continue gluing the paper all around the center until you reach the outside edge of the circle, forming a little flower! Cut a piece of ribbon and glue both ends to the back of the flower. Once the glue is dry, you can attach a pin or wear your new corsage around your wrist!
