With its three classic lines of the lower accentgraphic, floating roofline and continuouswaistline, the Range Rover is unmistakable.The iconic silhouette is gently tapered andcurved, while the use of near-flush glazingand gloss black pillars accentuates the roofenhancing its streamlined and elegant form.

The vehicles fresh and contemporaryappearance is complemented by carefullycrafted design details that give theRange Rover its distinctive character.

First to catch the eye is the very moderninterpretation of the side fender ventgraphic, which is executed on the surfaceof the front doors.

While lower down, accent graphics sweeparound the body. Available Adaptive

With an all-aluminum body and trueLand Rover capability at its heart, Range Roverdelivers incredible off-road performance.

Our unique Terrain Response 2* system isdesigned to monitor driving conditions andautomatically optimize driveability and tractionby adapting the responses of the vehiclesengine, transmission, center differential andchassis systems to match the demandsof the terrain.

ALL-TERRAIN PROGRESS CONTROL

All-Terrain Progress Control* is a new systemdesigned to enable drivers to set and maintaina steady speed in challenging conditions.Operating as a low speed off-road cruise controlsystem, it functions between 1.2mph and18.6mph, enabling the driver to maintain fullconcentration on steering and finding a paththrough obstacles, while the vehicle controlsthe engine and brakes to hold a comfortable,steady speed.

In addition, the system features a dedicatedlaunch functionality, which enables the vehicleto pull away smoothly and easily, even on trickylow-friction surfaces like ice, snow or wet grass.

Developed by all-terrain specialists atLand Rover, it works seamlessly alongside theTerrain Response 2, four-wheel drive, tractionand braking systems.

Once All-Terrain Progress Control is activated,the standard steering wheel +/- cruise controlbuttons are used to set the speed; b rakeand accelerator pedals can still override thechosen settings.

HILL DESCENT CONTROL

To complement the Terrain Response *system, Range Rover can also call upona unique suite of all-terrain technologiesto help maximize performance and safety,including Hill Descent Control (HDC )*.

Hill Descent Control assists with controlleddescents of difficult slopes by maintaininga constant speed and applying brakingseparately to each wheel.

Hill Start Assist is designed to prevent thevehicle rolling backwards as you pull away onan incline. The vehicle also utilizes GradientRelease Control* which is designed to preventthe vehicle running away on a steep incline

when the driver inadvertently releasesthe brake.

Adaptive Dynamics* makes the miles goby virtually unnoticed. The system monitorsvehicle movements at least 500 times asecond, reacting to driver or road inputsalmost instantaneously to give greatercontrol and minimize body-roll ensuringa composed, ride.

The system even senses off-road conditions,and optimizes damping accordingly sothe driver and passengers arrive at theirdestination refreshed and relaxed.

DYNAMICRESPONSE

Dynamic Response* improves vehiclehandling and occupant comfort by reducingthe amount of body lean during cornering orwhile driving on uneven road surfaces.

The latest two channel system is capableof controlling the front and rear axles

independently, allowing it to be tuned todeliver increased low-speed agility, alongwith enhanced control and stability at speed.

TOW HITCH ASSIST

Tow Hitch Assist** makes coupling a trailer tothe vehicle much easier by helping you visualizethe hitching process; it displays the predictedpath of the vehicle toward the trailer tow baron the Touch-screen.

On the road, the Tow Assist feature helpswith reversing by predicting the trailersdirection. You can even choose your trailerswidth for precise guidelines displayed onthe Touch-screen.

TRAILER STABILITY ASSIST

Trailer Stability Assist (TSA)** monitors the

vehicle to detect movements in the trailerand then uses selective braking to helpcorrect potentially hazardous situations.

SURROUND CAMERA SYSTEM

For a complete, all-round view, the optionalSurround Camera System** incorporatingT-Intersection View helps to see everythingclearly on the high-resolution full-color Touch-screen. All gasoline and diesel engines in theRange Rover line-up are paired with theadvanced electronically controlled ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox, whichhas been tuned by Land Rover engineersto combine silky-smooth shifting withexceptionally rapid response. With eightclosely spaced ratios, gear changes are almostimperceptible, with each shift completed in

just 200 milliseconds four times faster thanthe average human resting heartbeat.

Controls include steering wheel-mounted

Paddle Shift as standard, enabling the driverto take control of gear shifting manually.

The transmission accepts multiple downshifts,maintaining an absolutely smooth transitionbetween ratios. The optimized lightweighteight-speed transmission is the perfect partnerto the torque-rich gasoline and diesel engines.

LIGHTWEIGHT SUSPENSIONARCHITECTURE

Another key factor in the driving cap abilityof Range Rover is the lightweight suspensionarchitecture. The suspension systems use aclean sheet design which promises to deliverexceptional vehicle dynamics.

Primarily constructed from lightweightaluminum components, the suspensionconcept is fully independent, with a wide-spaced double-wishbone design at the front

and an advanced multi-link layout at the rear.

The lightweight chassis architecture iscombined with four-corner air suspension tooptimize the vehicles versatility both on andoff-road. The air springs offer variable rideheight, and are cross-linked for maximumaxle articulation.

The characteristic Range Rover ride quality isrefined through the fitment of low-hysteresisfront air springs, which are able to absorb

BLIND SPOT MONITORINGWITH CLOSING VEHICLESENSING

Using sensors mounted on the sides andthe rear bumper, these optional systems*are designed to see what you might miss.When a vehicle enters a blind spot, an amber

warning light shows in the correspondingdoor mirror. Closing Vehicle Sensing scansa zone much further behind the vehicle, tohelp detect vehicles which are closing quicklyfrom behind, and which could cause a threatduring a lane change maneuver.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROLWITH QUEUE ASSIST

Range Rover is engineered to achieve exceptional durability and reliability. While theinitial engineering and optimization is conducted almost exclusively using computersimulation, vehicle performance and robustness is verified through extensive physicaltesting, using both real world driving and research based procedures. Over 20,000

physical tests were completed across all components and systems, during 18 monthsof arduous tests in over 20 countries enduring extremes of climate and road surfaces.

ENGINEERED FOR MAXIMUM OCCUPANT PROTECTION

Range Rover meets and exceeds the most stringent global safety standards and has beenawarded the maximum five star safety rating from EURO NCAP - the leading Europeanvehicle safety testing organization. Its optimized aluminum body structure protectsoccupants using an incredibly strong and stable safety cell, which is complemented

by comprehensive system of airbags* and restraints. The crash structure is extensivelyoptimized using computer simulation tools, which allowed engineers to conduct asignificant number of virtual crash tests long before physical prototypes are available.

Vehicle crash performance has been verified via a rigorous program of 70 full vehicle crashtests and over 20 sled tests.

REVERSE TRAFFICDETECTION

Using radar sensors in the rear of thevehicle, this optional system** is designedto warn you about potential collisions duringreversing maneuvers. The system can helpdetect a vehicle approaching from either

side. When a target vehicle with a credibletime to collision is detected (a collisionwithin three seconds or less), the systemalerts corresponding door mirror, an audiblealert is sounded and a warning symbol isdisplayed on the camera screen.
