Features Mobile Master Meter Prover

NMi tests conrm long life / low cost of

ownership

Master meter provers from KROHNE are supplied

as standard with 0.07% aqccuracy. They are

available as an option with 0.05% accuracy. This

increased accuracy demands higher manufacturing

specications and increased linearisation testing.

In recent total-mounted system tests some meter

runs have shown exceptional calibration results of an

average 0.03%. Although we cannot guarantee this

gure, it does show that we manufacture with a large

margin of metering reliability. The advantage is the

reality that even severe drifting in the eld, due to

adverse effects will rarely cause the system to drift

beyond the specied limits of accuracy, and therefore

the need for period re-calibration is reduced to an

absolute minimum. NMi stipulates re-calibration 2

years after rst in-eld use, and only every 4 years

thereafter for KROHNE Master Meter Provers

Our mobile provers are tested in the 500,000 litre

water tower in the KROHNE facilities, against a

piston prover and against rened oil at NMi. More

often than not, the customers own internal rules

demand re-calibration long before this is due for

technical reasons. We frequently test meters after

over 10 years service, only to nd that they are within

a fraction of a percent of their initial calibration. This

is an inherent advantage in choosing a KROHNE

ultrasonic meter.
