Kortrijk was once one of Flanders most thriving cities, made rich by a flourishing flax and cloth industry. It is now the subject of an exciting, interactive city game: CityGame 4.0. Armed with an Android Tablet and a GPS, the teams fight out their own Battle of the Golden Spurs. Wander through the streets of the Groeninge city, with its impressive monuments such as the Broel Towers, the step-gabled market square, the beguinage and, of course, the belfry. Less well-known squares and parks are also included in this unforgettable city game, all based on an ingenious gaming system. An impression of the CityGame can be found here.

Pedestrian rally “Kortrijk Upside Town” Experience the city of the golden spurs! Immerse yourself in its culture and history. The route takes teams past all the city's most famous sights: the Broel Towers, the market square, the beguinage, etc. Pause at the Groeningekouter, site of the famous battle in 1302, and come face to face with the past. During the foot rally 'Upside Town' you will learn to see Kortrijk in a different light, thanks to a series of photo assignments, questions and do-tasks. In short, fun and games will be your guide through the pleasant city centre. Explore, experience and enjoy!

Divided into teams, the participants start with a short but intense multimedia and general knowledge quiz. In between, additional chances can be taken or jokers used! Then it is time to break for a drink. After the break we announce the results of the quiz. Depending on the result, each team is given a "gambling budget". Now it is up to them to increase their budget as much as possible within the time allotted. The team that ends with the biggest budget is the lucky winner!
