Bachelor’s Candidate Amplio Energy EuropeBologna (Italy), Supervisor: Dr. Gabriele Zini June 2016 – mid-August 2016The last part of my bachelor thesis was done in the frame of a collaboration with Amplio Energy Europe inBologna. Starting from the implemented lead-acid battery model, the goals of the collaboration were:- the improvement of the discharge model;- the sensitivity study of the model parameters;- the implementation of an optimization algorithm for parameter identification starting from the discharge curves

present on the datasheets.See publication [J1].

Research Projects1. AirBorne (2018-2020): Contributor to the European Project AirBorne (AerIal RoBotic technologies

for professiOnal seaRch aNd rescuE) as a systems and control researcher.AirBorne is a multi-national research grant funded by the European Commission for 2.350.000 Eurowithin H2020 (https://www.airborne-project.eu/). AirBorne goal is twofold: (i) to develop atTRL8 a few selected robotic aerial technologies for quick localization of victims buried by avalanchesby equipping drones with the two forefront sensor technologies nowadays used in Search & Rescueoperations in case of avalanche, namely the ARVA and RECCO; (ii) the robotic technologies, then, willconstitute the initial “technological seed” on which an innovative ICT technology service network willbe constituted at european level with the final goal of feeding professional S&R teams/associationswith effective ICT technologies by creating a business opportunity and contributing to address severalshortcomings of current operations. My contribution in the context of this project is the development of control algorithms able to drivethe ARVA-equipped drone(s) as close as possible to the victim(s), in a robust way.
