A new large-scale urban center
Located in Vitry-sur-Seine, the Gare Ardoines project is part of one of the largest development projects in the metropolitan area: the Ardoines. The aim of this project is to gradually transform the territory to build a mixed, productive city and a new metropolitan centre which will preserve its historical identity. The renovated productive businesses integrate harmoniously into the heart of the city. Special work is being done to reconfigure corporate real estate into more compact forms. This programme is one of the largest in the Metropolitan area.

Regeneration of the former freight sorting station, a project of national interest
Since 31 January 2018, this facility has been the subject of a National Interest Contract (CIN) which aims to promote economic and rail redevelopment on this site, while taking into account the urban redevelopment project already underway in the Triage district, as well as the environmental value of this area. In order to support the project's reflections and make it a reality, complementary studies are underway and will be completed in the course of 2020:
• Study of access and opening up of thesite.
• Study of the mutability of the site.• Definition of a development and
layout plan for the Yard site, includingthe opportunity to create a cluster ofironworking professions.
The aim of this 200 hectare (494 acres) area is to encourage the emergence of projects that generate investment and jobs. It is also a question of supporting its urban transformation and better integration into the city. Finally, it is a way of highlighting the importance of this area in the dynamic development of the territory, the metropolis and the Ile-de-France region. In addition, the SNCF is modernising its technical centre, while the municipality of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges is working to redevelop the Triage district, which will be ready to welcome new residents, services and shops.

An exceptional campus
The Domaine Chérioux, departmental estate in Vitry-sur-Seine, not only enjoys an extraordinary landscape, but also has an impressive architectural and environmental heritage. When combined with its location in the Île-de-France region, these factors make it ideal for a campus. Midway between Paris and Paris-Orly airport, new economic activities will soon be created, such as laboratories, innovative companies and other tertiary sector businesses that are connected to research and development. Existing initial training establishments, such as high schools and middle schools, will be strengthened and complemented by the creation of new professionnal and vocational training centres. The first project will be the Grand Paris Ecocampus training centre for construction. This is the first building in a future national network of training centres for energy transition professions that is set to open in 2021.
