QUALIFICATIONS
This contest is open to all bona fide grade 9 and
4th year students of any public or private
secondary schools in the province of Cavite.
Each participating school may submit at most two
(2) investigatory research projects in any of the
following fields, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or
Ecology. Each research project may be done by anindividual or by a group with a maximum of three
(3) members, and with at least one 4 th year
student. Each participant/group must berepresented by a Research Adviser.
No registration fee will be collected but only thefirst 30 submitted research projects will be
accepted.
Strictly NO late confirmation/registration/no
walk-in participants.

Interested participants must confirm their
participation on or before Feb. 6, 2015 by sending

Accomplished Registration Forms must be
submitted on the day of the competition.
MECHANICS
1.
All research entries must be completed within thecurrent school year, 2014-2015.
2.
Complete research papers or write-ups must be
submitted to the organizers (hard copy or soft
copy thru e-mail) on or before Feb. 6, 2015 withthe following components:
a.
Preliminaries (Title Page, Acknowledgments,Table of Contents)
b.
Introduction (Statementof the Problem/
Objectives, Significance of the Study)
c.
Materials and Methods (Research Procedure,
Data Gathering and Statistical Analysis)
d.
Results and Discussions
e.
Conclusions and Recommendations
f.
References

Actual display of the investigatory research
project or Research Posters will be exhibited on
the day of the competition.
4.
Researchers must prepare a Powerpoint
presentation and will be given 20 minutes to
present their investigatory projects.5.
The decision of the Board of Judges shall be final
and unappealable. Any administrative or technical
problem that may arise during the contest shall be
resolved by the organizers, whose decision,
moreover, shall be final and unappealable.
