Notes
Bamboo is very heavy relative to the yarn’s weight when knitted – even a finer weight yarn suchas this one weighs more than a similar wool yarn. Knitted bamboo fabric tends to stretch overtime, and so it may be wise to shorten the length by 2 inches or so throughout, or particularlyin the sleeves if you don’t mind a slightly longer hoodie.
Another method to counteract this growth is to add the occasional linen stitch row randomlyevery few rows, or any stitch pattern with small floats/combinations of knit/purl. This will alsocreate an interesting texture even in a plain color as seen here. The actual sweater seen in thisphoto was knit in stockinette and has grown decidedly larger over time.

Blocking
Lay the pieces out flat; dampen slightly with a spray bottle and gently pull into shape. Allow todry thoroughly before sewing together.
ASSEMBLY This yarn is both a fine weight and relatively heavy (drapey), so it can be a little tricky to stitchtogether unless you are generous with the pins. Small claw clips designed to hold piecestogether during seaming are available at many knitting and craft shops (or use small claw-style
hair clips). As each piece is pinned or clipped together to its neighbor, carefully stitch using yourpreferred method, or chain the pieces together on the reverse side using an appropriately sizedcrochet hook and slip stitch. Crocheted seams also help support the heavy weight of the yarn.
BUTTON BAND
Row 1: With bottom of right front facing, using crochet hook, single crochet across right front, across back, across left front, up left front and across.Fasten off and work row 1 another 4 times.

BUTTONHOLES
Determine where (and how many) buttonhole(s) will be placed. For placement, chain a lengthequal to width of chosen button (half-double crochet, or hdc, and then cont in hdc pattern asestablished. Rep for same number of hdcs into chain-st section of buttonhole.
