Key messages (1/2)
• De attractiviteit van België bevindt zich momenteel op een keerpunt• Optimisme neemt toe over einde van huidige crisis• Iets positievere houding over evolutie van attractiviteit van België• Die veranderingen sluiten aan bij een Europese trend die het gevolg is van licht economisch herstel in
Europa• Optimisme & positiviteit over toekomst van België zijn echter veel lager dan Europese gemiddelden• Sterke troeven zoals marktgrootte, centrale ligging, voorspelbare bedrijfsomgeving en hooggeschoolde
arbeiders• Welbepaalde groeimogelijkheden (IT en R&D) en regionale dynamiek dankzij Brussel en Vlaanderen
• Ondanks sterke troeven staat België voor belangrijke uitdagingen • Twee structurele nadelen: hoge belastingdruk en niet-competitieve arbeidskosten
=> Nieuwe vaststellingen t.o.v vorig jaar:• Zeer grote toename van administratieve druk, vooral in Vlaanderen - volgens gevestigde investeerders• Veel verkeerscongestie

investeringen• Aanzienlijk scepticisme over de doeltreffendheid van de Di Rupo 1 maatregelen om arbeidskosten

De kleinere bedrijven in het bijzonder worden getroffen door deze administratieve administratieve druk vanwege de overheid
A majority of those who perceive an increase of administrative pressure (respectively 65% and 61%) feel corporate taxes and labor costs should reduce in order to restore Belgium’s attractiveness. In addition, 28% of them consider that tax increases for businesses recently introduced by the government could have a very substantial negative effect on the investment climate .
