Dr. Wingate was born and raised in Colorado and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences at the Uni-versity of Northern Colorado. After working several years in research and obtaining an EMT-C she attended medical school at Western University College of Osteopathic Med-icine of the Pacific. She completed her internship and res-idency in Fort Worth, Texas, and has enjoyed a rewarding career in emergency medicine working in both urban and rural hospitals. Throughout her career, she has served as de-partment medical director, as well as serving on ethics com-mittee, MEC, and serving as chair of new provider orientation and patient experience committee. She enjoys all aspects of emergency medicine and the opportunity to address patient needs quickly. The most rewarding is making a difference in the lives of patients and families in their time of need. When not at work, Dr. Wingate enjoys spending time with her fami-ly, supporting Special Olympics and sporting events.

Claire is a joy to work with. She is equally dependable and con-sistently going above and beyond to help the facility.
She has spearheaded the project of getting our facility orga-nized. We are so very glad we have the opportunity to work with her.
In talking with her teammates they tell us what a nice person she is to work with and how much they enjoy her on staff.
Claire says “I enjoy working for Surepoint ER because it allows me to use my skill set as a radiologic technologist to help our patients.
