Accatura is delivered by Neil Robinson B.Ed

Accatura Music Workshops set the stage for children to increase their confidence, imagination and control. They explore and enjoy patterns and learn how sounds and silence can create different moods and effects. These workshops integrate performing and composing, meeting Key Stages targets within the Music National Curriculum.

Work by Accatura is aimed at compulsory areas of the curriculum which your staff struggle to provide, lessons are bespoke and can be tailored to the individual requirements of the curriculum which you deliver.

Christmas workshops are particularly sought after but dates are limited. Seasonal songs or hymns are enjoyed enormously by staff and children.

Children take part in various musical activities and exercises which are usually either keyboard or percussion based with vocal elements. Non-specialist staff are encouraged to participate, as these sessions may also serve as “In Service Training” (CPD). Resource material is available at the end of bookings to allow further follow up work by students and staff in your school.

Activity Days

Themed musical activity days are a speciality from the Interactive Rap to performing Circus Clowns.

Accatura can create a bespoke workshop for up to 30 students at once. Students perform and compose in pairs along with headphones & backing tracks. Music making in pairs promotes sharing of learning objectives and the development of collaborative skills, as well as being hugely enjoyable. Pupils’ confidence can also be enhanced by an opportunity to perform live at the end.
