EFRO-Raplab is a networking project set up to introduce Additive Manufacturing technologies incompanies (AM).
Facts & figures2 year duration, started 1 February 2010.The project budget equals 631.202€ and is funded by EFRO, the Flemish governmentand the project partners.
Aim of the projectThe promotion & the introduction of a sustainable and ecological production in Flandersthrough the implementation of Additive Manufacturing technologies.
Funneling ideas towards concrete business modelsThe EFRO-Raplab project will put forward new and innovative businessmodels on Additive Manufacturing. This will be realized through virtualfactories that will be concretized using a funnel model. This model will turna number of ideas into some concrete business models.

The Raplab funnel

Objectives of the Network1. The promotion and introduction of a sustainable production in companies through the implementation of Additive Manufacturing technologies. For the target group* the impact of AM on the different manufacturing processes will be made more explicit.
2. The generation of new and innovative business models on Additive ManufacturingThis will be achieved by means of virtual factories which will be made more concrete through a funnel model. This funnel model will transform a variety of ideas into a number of business models.
3. The promotion of Rapid Manufacturing as a sustainable and ecological technology
*Target Group - Focus on Flemish companies from the technological industry - About 400 companies (85% SME) are concerned, employing 87.000 people
