HOOFDSTUK I Algemeen

Evena l s bij v o r i g e v o l k s l e l l . i n g e n i s ook bij de op 31 mei 1960 gehouden 13e Alge- mene v o l l c s t e l l i n g aan a l l c g e t e l d e pe r sonen opgave v e r z o c h t van d e geboortegenieen- t e . Zndicn deze i n h e t b u i t e n l a n d was g e l e g e n , moest men t e v e n s h e t g e b o o r t e l a n d vermelden v o l g e n s de op h e t t i j d s t i p v a n de t e l l i n g van k r a c h t zijndc s t a a t k u n d i g e inc l e l ing .

Bovendien i s d i l m a a l voor de e e r s t e k e e r een s p e c i a l e v r a a g opgenomen n a a r h e t j a a r v a n v e s t i g i n g ( c . q . van l a a t s t e v e s l i g i n g ) i n de h u i d i g e woongemeente. Daarbij moest men tijdelijke a fwez ighe id t e n gevolgo van gedwongen e v a c u a t i e ( o o r l o g , wa- t e r s n o o d ) b u i t e n beschouwing l a t e n .

Terwijl de gegevens omt ren t de geboor tegomeente van b e l a n g zijn v o o r h e t verkr i jgen van i n z i c h t i n de s a m e n s t e l l i n g v a n d e b e v o l k i n g van i e d e r e gemeente n a a r geogra- f i s c h e hcrhomst werpen d i e ove r de v e s t i g i n g s p e r i o d e l i c h t op de herkomsl i n de tijd.

Bij de bewerliing van de omt ren t h e i d e onderwerpen verzamelde gegevens i s u i t g e - gaan v a n de woongemeente op j1 mei 1960.

Op b a s i s van de geboortcgenieentc i s t e n a a n z i e n van de i n i e d e r e gemeente wonon- de bevol l t ing a l l e r e e r s t o n d e r s c l ~ e i d gema.alct t u s s e n de t e r p l a a t s e en e l d e r s gebo- r e n pe r sonen , ook wel. g l o b a a l a a n t e du.i.den a l s r e s p . wautochLonen" en " a l l o c h - tonen" . Bierbi j zij opgemorlct, d a t de a u t o c h t o n e n ( t e r p l a a t s e geborenen) n i e t a l t i j d Ler p l a a t s e behoeven %c hebben gewoond.

De zgn . a l l o c h t o n e n ( e l d e r s geborenen) zijn bij d e bewerking v e r d e r onde r sche iden naar g e b o o r t e p r o v i n c i e c .q. g e b o o r t e l a n d , waarmede voor d i t d e e l van de bevo lk ing cen g l o b a l e i n d i c a . t i e i s verlcregen van de bi geografische herlcomst". Bij do i n t e r p r e - t a t i e van h e t h i e r gebezigde b e g r i p l l g e o g r a f i s c h e herlcomst" d i e n t men wel t e be- denlien, d a t h i e r a a n n i e t i n a l l e g e v a l l e n een r e c h t s t r o e l c s e m i g r a t i e v a n goboor t e - gemeente n a a r d,e h u i d i g e woongemeente (d.w.z. de woongemeente op 31 mei 1960) t e n g r o n d s l a g b e h o e f t t e l i g g e n . Deze trelc- lcan n l . ook v i a e e n of meer ande re gemeen- t e n on/of v i a t u s sen t i j d s verb l i j f i n h e t b u i t e n l a n d hebben p l a a t s gehad. Deze m i - g r a t i e g e s c h i e d e n i s blij:CL h i e r evenwel. b u i t e n beschouwing. Als g e v o l g h i e r v a n kun- nen u i t de onderhavige gegevens dan ook geen aanwijzingen worden verlcregen ove r de zgn. e t appe - of trapsgewijze m i g r a t i e . Zij geven s l e c h t s h e t e i n d r e s u l t a a t v a n de m i g r a t i e weer t o t op l ie t moment van de t e l l i n g .

V o o r t s geven de cUPers over h e t a a n t a l e l d e r s geborenen voor e l k e gemeente s l e c h l s h e t u i t e i n d e l i j k e f f e c t van de m i g r a t i e weer e n k a n men h i e r u i t d e r l ~ a l v e n i e t de t o t a l e omvang v a n de m i g r a t i e u i t en n a a r de d e s b e t r e f f e n d e gemeente a f - l e i d e n en evenmin de w i s s e l i n g van de omvang i n de tijd g e z i e n . H ie rvoor i s men aangewezen op de j a a r l i j k s aan de hand v a n de gemeentelijke b e v o l k i n g s r e g i s t e r s be- s c h i k b a a r komende gegevens omt ren t v e s t i g i n g i n r e s p . v e r t r e k u i t i e d e r e gemeen- t e 1) e n v o o r t s op de s e d e r t 1948 op b a s i s van de zgn. ver11uislcaartenstatisi;iek j a a r l i j k s p e r gemeente b e s c h i k b a a r komende c i j f e r s 2 ) over de t o t a l e omvang en r i c h - t i n g v a n de b innen landse m i g r a t i e . Daarom i s bij de l a a t s t e v o l k s t e l l i n g a f g e z i e n van een aanvu l l ende v r a a g n a a r d e woongemeente op een aan de v o l l c s t e l l i n g s d a t u m voorafgaand Li jds t ip . D i t i n t e g e n s t e l l i n g t o t de v o r i g e v o l l c s t e l l i n g van 3 1 mei 1947 t o e n n a a s t de geboor tegemeente t e v e n s opgave i s v e r z o c h t v a n de woongemeente i n a u g u s t u s 1939. U i t e r a a r d i s een derge l i jke v r a a g wel v a n b e l a n g voor l a n d e n , waar een lopende m i g r a t i e s t a t i s t i e k o n t b r e e k t , a a n g e z i e n deze , h e t e n i g mogelijk aai iknopingspunt b i e d t voor h e t verkr i jgen van i n z i c h t i n d e i n t e r r e g i o n a l e migra- t i e s t r o m e n , betreklcing hebbende op een i n h e t r e c e n t e v e r l e d e n l i g g e n d e p e r i o d e , welke t e v e n s voor a l l e pe r sonen op d e z e l f d e wijze i s afgebakend.
